  1. LOL. Strike 2 should have been a ball and ball 2 should have been a strike. Guess it evened out.
  2. Another hard out for Heyward. Thought that was going into the corner.
  3. Lackey was only with the Cards for a year and a half as the result of a trade. Not like he chose to be in St. Louis. I feel like I'm missing something here. Both guys were traded to St. Louis.
  4. Prior to today, Heyward's been worth 0.2 WAR by both B-R and Fangraphs which would be a 2.5 win pace over a full season. That's amazing considering how terribly he's hit so far.
  5. That came across the plate at the knees so it's a strike, right?
  6. Nice and easy, Hector. No need to make it interesting.
  7. They already get blame for the two hits he's gotten tonight.
  8. Did the Cards fans boo Lackey as well? Hoping the answer is no so we can call them racists also.
  9. There are 4 game left for each team: Leicester have Swansea, Man U (a), Everton and Chelsea (a). Their max points is 85. Spurs have West Brom, Chelsea (a), Southampton and Newcastle (a). Their max points is 80. Spurs have the easier run in, assuming Newcastle are relegated before that final game. Only Southampton have anything to play for, and then only barely. West Brom suck and Chelsea quit playing back in September. LCFC get a crap Swansea, a Man U that even though they're bad, win games they have no business winning, a generally garbage Everton that will either be on the beach or getting ready for the FA Cup final, and the aforementioned Chelsea. LCFC need 8 points from their last 4 games assuming Spurs win out. I can't really see Spurs losing to any of those teams in their current form. Maybe they drop points at Chelsea but I doubt it. I can see LCFC struggling at United, especially without Vardy. If Spurs do lose any of those games, LCFC probably win. I see LCFC getting 6 points from their 12. Yeah, I think if Spurs win all 4 games, they'll win the title (Leicester would have to win 3 games or get 2 wins and 2 draws). Leicester getting 6 or 7 points in the last 4 games sounds about right.
  10. Tottenham on goal differential, I believe. This is correct. Tottenham is already far enough ahead in goal differential that even if the two teams were tied in points right now, Tottenham would still likely finish ahead in goal differential. It's nearly impossible to make up a 13 GD if two teams have the same results without a head to head game. But since the only way they finish tied in points is if Tottenham has a better finish, it makes it nearly impossible for Leicester to get the tiebreaker.
  11. We did play those 4 games in Arizona also.
  12. When idiot Europhiles complain about MLS playoffs and there's no regular season pressure because everyone makes it and there's no relegation pressure or some such nonsense...i'm going to point to games like this where the team stranded in mid-table wanders around the field like they're halfway to Ibiza as my rebuttal. It's kind of six of one, half dozen of the other, right? Instead of mid table teams teams not caring (EPL), it's the bottom clubs who wander around not caring (American sports). No matter what format you have, you're always going to have a handful of clubs with nothing to play for the last few weeks.
  13. And that should do it. Ripped Stoke apart the last few minutes.
  14. Was just about to post that I wasn't happy Stoke was still in this game and then Alli scores.
  15. Can't blame you. If I wasn't a Spurs fan, I'd probably be rooting for Stoke also (though a Spurs win at least keeps the race exciting for longer). That extra game would be huge. He was already going to miss Swansea but the second game would be at Man U. As if getting a red for diving wasn't dumb enough, he goes and does this also.
  16. Well the La Liga race got significantly more interesting the last couple weeks.
  17. And then you give that instead? I mean, Leicester deserve a penalty but still. At least give the right one.
  18. LOL. And then they don't call that one.
