    It wasn't. He just threw in Game 5 of the NLDS but that was his throw day. Oh yeah. I remembered there was a lot of talk of him being abused. Forgot about the relief appearance. He did go on short rest against Washington, though. Games 1 and 4.

    Kershaw never pitched on short rest. Game 2 was short rest, 6 was an extra day of rest. It wasn't. He just threw in Game 5 of the NLDS but that was his throw day.

    The Cubs are the better team and if Jake is decent tonight, we'll go home tied with the ERA leader against a dude with a 4.4 ERA. On Saturday, Cleveland will be staring at a 2-1 deficit with their ace on short rest. Also, we were down 2-1 to LA and we're going to have to beat one of the two guys who just shut us out to advance.
