  1. he was only really impressive in 1 start. in his other 2 "good" ones he struck out a total of 3 guys And people didn't really think he'd be terrible this year anyway. It was not wanting to give him a 5 year deal.
  2. Has Almora ever not swung at the first pitch when leading off a game?
  3. In 2016, Didi Gregorious had 19 walks in 597 PAs. In 2017 he had 25 walks in 570 PAs. This year he has 15 walks in 91 PAs. Career 5.5% walk rate (3.8% the last two years) and he’s at 16.5% this year.
  4. “I don’t think you can flip that around.” Said the Rockies announcers as the replay shows the tag coming before Arenado hits the base.
  5. Glad ump decided to finally call the high strike.
  6. Javy kept standing in front of DJ on every pitch during the Arenado PA when the signs were being given and then moving back. DJ obviously didn’t like it. I know, but why is the ump involved? That’s just cat and mouse. That’s pretty annoying right there. Watching on MLB Network and didn’t know how much they were showing on the Cubs broadcast (if you’re even watching that one). No idea about the ump. Javy’s got every right to stand there. He wasn’t blocking DJ’s running path.

  8. That had to fall. Cubs needed to get their customary two in the first.
  9. I think this is as good a time as any to tell you guys I kept my word. Haven’t turned the game back on. It’s a sacrifice I’m more than happy to make.
  10. Turned on the game to see the RBI single and the homer. I will now turn the game off. My bad, guys.
  11. Why not stick with the slider low and away there? He already took two of them.
  12. It's warm up Morrow too many times so he's unavailable the next day even though he only threw two pitches in an actual game for me.
  13. I think I heard that most of the 11 threes he’s taken this year have been end of the quarter half court heaves. He’s not even taking many end of the shot clock threes.
  14. And here we thought that inning against the Brewers was crazy.
  15. 7 runs on 3 hits, 5 walks and 2 HBP. Amazing.
  16. Looks like I tuned in at the perfect time.
  17. From the same thread: Three out of four isn't bad.
  18. It would be fun to go back and look at some posts from the Game Threads after the last couple games of the 5-15 stretch from 2016. I bet there are some gems in there.
  19. The Padres only got one hit tonight against the Giants and it was by a pitcher (Clayton Richard) who was a pinch hitter and didn't pitch in the game.
  20. Yep. And on the Gameday audio page there’s barely any information. No strikes/balls/outs, base runners or stats. Pretty lame.
  21. He went 6-7 with a double and a home run and raised his batting line to .258/.281/.419/.700. His OPS coming into today was .245.
