  1. This game doesn't count? Bah I missed that one, so 2-7 :good: I was hoping that was the one win so we could say all they have to do is win today and they would win the series.
  2. Mike Leake perfect through 8.
  3. Reds got 2 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th but left the tying run on third and lost 12-11.
  4. I definitely don’t think it should be an eye for an eye type thing but for a play like this, I definitely think Lucroy’s injury should be taken into account. The same goes if a pitcher drills someone intentionally and breaks his hand or something (obviously this is harder to prove). It’s definitely tough to take injury into account, not to mention the intent of the player, so I get why they don’t do it. But each player’s punishment in this case didn’t seem to fit the crime to me.
  5. Homer to the 8 spot, walk to the 9 spot. This will end well.
  6. It probably makes it even worse, but I think this is his second wife and his twins were from the previous marriage. Pretty sure he’s got a kid from this marriage also. I seem to remember him either saying his wife was pregnant or they had a kid on his podcast last year.
  7. Letting Lester face the top of the order for the 4th time doesn’t seem smart.
  8. Should have let Lester field it. At least the runner would still be on first.
  9. So Marisnick destroys Lucroy, giving him a concussion and a broken nose and he gets a two game suspension. Last night, an Angels relief pitcher plunked Marisnick intentionally in the upper back and gets a three game suspension. I know it’s a pitcher so he’s not going to pitch every game. I’m fully behind giving pitchers (especially starters) longer suspensions because they can’t pitch every day. And this pitch was too high - it was a few inches from maybe hitting Marisnick in the head. Pitchers retaliate all the time and, as long as there’s no brawl, the most that usually happens is they get tossed. This pitcher didn’t get tossed so if they suspended him for a token game because of it, I’d be fine with that. But you can’t give the pitcher a longer suspension.
  10. Was just about to ask why Joe is leaving Kintzler in and he gets the DP.
  11. Don’t horsefeathers this up Kintzler.
  12. Too bad Kyle Ryan’s going to make sure that streak continues.
  13. Clearly Mojo needs to start tracking how many days it’s been since Rizzo homered like he does for KB.
  14. he has the second best numbers of his career and he is notoriously streaky with the power. i worry about everything but this one is odd. Yeah, during is drought he's got a .795 OPS, and that's before today's 2-3 with a BB. We've seen him slump with a sub .500 OPS (last year) so this is nothing.
  15. Good job, Albert. Could have walked to first if you were paying attention.
  16. Fun fact (that's actually not fun)! The Cubs are 50-44 while the Marlins are 34-57. The Cubs have won 4 straight games twice this year. The Marlins have done it 3 times.
