  1. Some things never change. Not a bad thing, just hilarious how frequently they get a game in after you’ve declared the game won’t be played.
  2. The Clippers tanking to avoid the Lakers in the first two rounds and/or play the Mavs instead of the Blazers only to lose to the Mavs and before they’d even have the chance to play the Lakers would be hilarious.
  3. He was out with the foot on the bag and Bote tagged him. So dumb.
  4. Stupid Spurs can’t even properly screw Chelsea over.
  5. Chelsea blowing a top 4 spot on the final day would make me quite happy. And of course within minutes Leicester scores an own goal to tie it up.
  6. [tweet] [/tweet] De Bruyne to Spurs in the summer?
  7. Such a weird injury. He was literally jogging to third. No idea how that happened.
  8. Of course he didn’t. Not only was it more unwritten rules BS but it was a white guy throwing at a non-white guy. Also, classic TLR here: [tweet] [/tweet] I remember one time a Cubs player hit a Cards player with a slider or curve and the Cards threw at a Cubs player the next inning.
  9. No wonder Ross was slow to take Davies out, he’s doing double duty as the pitch by pitch tracker for MLB.
  10. As long as he doesn’t go to Chelsea. apparently there is some feud there that makes it unlikely? Worse for spurs though because they'll get Haaland instead. I’m not super concerned about Chelsea being better than Spurs. That’s going to happen much more often than not regardless of who they sign. I’ve just always disliked Chelsea. I know this would be sacrilege to say if I lived in London, but I’d rather Kane go to Arsenal than Chelsea. Never liked Jose, Chelsea always used to beat Spurs and they’ve been a big reason why Spurs haven’t won a trophy in the last decade (2012 FA Cup semi, 2015 League Cup final, 2017 FA Cup semi, 2016-17 League). And I’ll always be bitter about Chelsea winning the UCL on PKs despite getting absolutely dominated by Bayern and costing Spurs a spot the next year (then UEFA changed the rules a couple years later). And I’ll always dislike Mario Gomez for missing 77 good chances in that final as well. I can’t fault or dislike Kane for wanting a transfer. The last two years have been a complete disaster.
  11. As long as he doesn’t go to Chelsea.
  12. Yeah, I'm sure if you look on twitter for 5 seconds, you can find people who only complain about the rule after their team loses. But I think most people here who hate the rule, hate it regardless of whether or not the Cubs win the game.
  13. So the Clippers lost to the Rockets today which brings up an interesting scenario. Denver is now the 3 seed as they have the tiebreaker over the Clippers. Portland is the 6 seed and a 1/2 game up on the Lakers and they have the tiebreaker. However, Denver plays Portland in the final game for both teams. So if Denver wins, they'd get the 3 seed but they could relegate the Blazers to 7 which means Denver would draw the Lakers in the 1st round. Lakers do play Indiana who is fighting for the 8 seed still so it's no guarantee the Lakers win. But if Denver loses, they'll probably get the 4 seed and draw the Mavs (Clips play the Thunder in their last game). Don't know how Denver matches up with Utah vs Phoenix either. Maybe they'd prefer one over the other if they can win their 1st round series.
  14. I feel like the Cubs did a good thing in Cleveland a few years ago but I can’t quite remember what. Can anyone help me out?
  15. Like hell you will be, that spot's mine! Not anymore!
  16. It was extremely impressive, especially considering coming off the bench. I fully expected him to flail at either the 1-2 slider or the 2-2 high fastball and he laid off both. The 2-2 high fastball I definitely couldn’t believe he laid off.
  17. The whole “Dodgers are going to win 116 games” discussion both before the season and 15-20 games in was so stupid. Not to take anything away from the Dodgers because they’re a really good team that will probably win 100, but there’s a reason only two teams have won 116 games. It’s like when a team in the NFL looks awful and starts out 0-6. It’s not enough to just be really good/bad to set a wins/loss record. You’ve got to get lucky/unlucky also. The 2016 Cubs played at a 113 win pace for 141 games but had that weird 5-15 stretch. The Warriors first year with KD were better than they were the year before when they won 73 games but the KD team *only* won 67 games.
  18. Perfect game alert in Seattle through 8. EDIT: At bat app lied to me. Was actually a no hitter. Only batter reached on a dropped third strike.
  19. Yeah, I heard that one live and cringed. Good to see it didn’t go unnoticed.
  20. He hasn't yet. Didn't start either game today. Wildly uneducated guess is he'll be back in the lineup within a day or two, otherwise they would've IL'd him as well. Knowing our medical staff, he’ll be out the next 3-4 days also, then they’ll IL him and he’ll miss 3 weeks.
  21. KB should try to steal home. Would probably be put best chance of scoring.
