  1. This is the correct answer. Let's hope the A's win it all. :D I'll point out what abuck said. Hendry will probably pick up the wrong aspect of the A's.
  2. The Dodgers aren't going to be interested in Pierre. They already have Furcal and Lofton to lead off. And they have an OF of Drew, Lofton, Ethier, Cruz Jr. and Kemp. Middle relief/closer will definitely interest them. Dempster, Eyre, Howry or maybe even Williamson should really intrigue the Dodgers. And the Dodgers won't give up Ethier for Maddux.
  3. If this is actually true (I'm going to take a wait and see approach too), this is awesome (though I sort of want Hendry to go down with the ship). The Cubs better be quick this offseason to scoop up Fredi Gonzalez before Dayton and the Royals get a chance.
  4. Wow, what an ending. Now go get the German coach, USA.
  5. Wow, Dusty is going all out with his moves today.
  6. When Prior kicks the throw to the dugout. Italy or Germany could use him right about now.
  7. We'll see how ready Oden will be to start as a 19-year old big man with one year of college experience. If Oden is ready to play right away, play him with Wallace.
  8. He's still not even fully healed. Ron has said he's still unable to shift his weight onto the foot that he hurt and he's generating zero power this year. I wonder if surgery would help? If it's just rest, I guess he has to wait till the offseason.
  9. No more crazy than someone putting a hill and a flag pole in centerfield. :D They should have added a windmill and a giant plaster dinosaur while they were at it. What, did the Astros start playing in Palm Springs?
  10. Heh, you answered my question before I asked it.
  11. How has Prior looked? I see a couple walks and a couple of Ks so far.
  12. By the way, I don't think USC will win the Pac-10. Either Oregon or Cal will have the honors.
  13. This should be a rebuilding year for the Bruins - they've lost most of the best players and leaders from last year's 10-2 team (Drew Olson, Marcedes Lewis, Maurice Drew, Spencer Havner, Jarrad Page). Ben Olson, the most hyped QB to come to Westwood since Troy Aikman, will be the starter as a RS sophomore. I expect he'll struggle a bit, though. I expect a 7-5 season (losses to Notre Dame, Cal and Oregon on the road and 2 losses out of the USC, ASU, and Utah home games), anything worse than 6-6 will be disappointing. With the recruiting classes that Dorrell has built up this season (focusing on the OL and DL) and next season (the skill players), I'm actually excited about UCLA football in 2007 - and I don't want Dorrell fired for the first time ever.
  14. Chad Ford won't give up.
  15. http://cubs.scout.com/2/544357.html
  16. Yeesh, what a sad story this has become. I don't expect to see him pitch in the Cubs system again.
  17. After starting 2-9, Boise has won 4 in a row to get themselves in a three-way tie for the NWL East division. That's right, they're tied for first place with a 6-9 record. Here's an Idaho Statesman story about Tyler Colvin adjusting to pro baseball.
