  1. What about beachballs? :P I've popped my share. They're for idiots who don't want to pay attention to the game. Just like the wave.
  2. It's now 5-1 in favor of Iowa after 4, thanks to another Buck Coats RBI single. Pie grounded out to first in his most recent AB. It's still scoreless in the West Tenn game; they're now in the 6th. Pavlik: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K.
  3. Plus, it's on WGN for everyone to see. Why couldn't it be a CSN game? Who knows what those fans do when the games are on CSN.
  4. What the heck. I'm proud of going to Dodger/Padre games and not doing the wave and pointing out that Cubs fans don't resort to that nonsense.
  5. Not listening to the Iowa game but something happened. Termel Sledge hit an RBI ground-rule double and then was ejected, along with Portland's manager and pitcher Dewon Brazelton who wasn't even playing. Apparently it was originally ruled a 3-run HR and then changed to a ground-rule double. Not sure why Brazelton was ejected. Anyways, it's 4-1 Iowa in the bottom of the 3rd. And now another double for Restovich. But he's stranded. Iowa leads it 4-1 in the 4th now. WT and Carolina are scoreless through 4. Pavlik: 4 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K. Despite a leadoff triple in the top of the first by Davey Gregg, Peoria doesn't score and it's 0-0 in the bottom of the 1st.
  6. He isn't the only one...Jake Fox with another double and has his BA over .250. Pie is up to .278, OPS to .758.
  7. Perfect delivery or not, a pitcher's mechanics change as he wears down and gets tired, which is where the major risk of injury comes from.
  8. Kanye West hates walks. Jesus Walks. I bet Jesus' OBP is through the roof! #-o
  9. I-Cubs in the bottom of the 2nd: McGehee singles. Augie singles, McGehee to third. Jose Reyes grounds into a forceout, Augie out at second, McGehee scores. Iowa up 2-0. O'Malley bunts into a forceout, Reyes out at second. Pie doubles, O'Malley to third. Buck Coats with a 2-RBI single, Iowa now up 4-0. Mike Fontenot pops out to end the inning. Iowa leads 4-0 after 2. West Tenn: 0-0 in the bottom of the 3rd in Zebulon, North Carolina.
  10. Nope. He has 104 AB's there this year. Hmm I guess I don't pay attention too much. Who does these days?
  11. Iowa is up to bat in the bottom of the 1st inning of a scoreless game. Pie led off the bottom of the first with a line drive single to RF and now stole second with 1 out. West Tenn and Carolina are scoreless going to the second...
  12. By the way, with this game, Daytona broke their previous single-season attendance record.
  13. Huh, Andrew Miller is advised by the same group of agents (Frontline Athlete Management, with agents Darek Braunecker, Jim Lindell and Mark Rodgers) as Jeff Samardzija and Chris Huseby. I think they've done well this summer just with those three contracts.
  14. Added him to the list in the first post in the thread. Please let me know if I've missed someone who's signed.
  15. And plays a position that can lead to shortened careers, etc.
  16. Fred, did you already stop by Fontana and Ontario and not tell me? :( GO HILL!
  17. Andy was demoted to the minors last week...but so far, he's been closing/relieving inAAA Omaha.
  18. The guys on the talk show after the game were all calling him "The Real Deal." I think Donnie needs his own nickname, let Dontrelle keep his.
  19. You mean, snapped again. This is Isaac's second start with the Jaxx. He came aboard at the same time as Bicondoa, from the same Can-Am Independent League.
