  1. Unofficially, I got 97 for his PC. No clue on his NP-S.
  2. Well, he's on Mesa's roster and has been for a while. I bow down to you.
  3. Donnie Veal's previous career high in Ks was 10. He did it twice, on 9/7/05 with Boise (his last start of 2005) and 5/20/06 with Peoria. He's gotten 9 Ks six times this season.
  4. 1...a college football league. EDIT: Wow, I just realized there's another poster in my league posting at NSBB.
  5. Given the amount of flack abuck had gotten up till August, I think abuck has shown a lot of restraint for not having any "I told you so" posts till today. Then again, we should be giving abuck more flack for just saying he thinks he's very, very smart.
  6. Hey, Outshined isn't slacking off!
  7. Top of the 9th in Boise, Idaho: Rocky Roquet in to pitch for the Boise Hawks. Roquet vs. Hector Gomez: Single up the middle on a full count. Roquet vs. Anthony Jackson: Wild pitch, Gomez to second base. Walk on a full count, runners at first and second. Roquet vs. Geoff Strickland: Single to RF on a 2-2 count, bases are loaded. Roquet vs. Michael McKenry: Ball up the middle, diving stop by Mattulia. Strickland out at second base, 6-4-3 FC. Gomez scores. Throwing error by second baseman Steve Clevenger on the attempted GIDP. Jackson scores on the E-4. Boise up 10-5, 1 out. Roquet vs. Jeff Kindel: 1-4-3 double play! Boise wins 10-5 and wins the NWL East!
  8. Iowa wins 3-2. Nashville loses 7-5. Iowa lives for another day, they're now 2 back of Nashville and Nashville's magic number remains 1 (both teams have 3 games remaining). West Tenn loses 3-1, but Huntsville wins 6-5 in 10. The Jaxx have been eliminated from playoff contention. Palm Beach comes back and wins 10-6. Palm Beach's magic number over Daytona is now 1 (with 3 games remaining). Peoria wins 3-0. Boise is up on Tri-City 10-3 in the top of the 9th. Tyler Colvin has 2 HRs on the night, DJ Lewis has his 5th of the year. Boise is 3 outs away from clinching the NWL East.
  9. Yup, I think Veal is ready for the jump. Gallagher will probably have the chance to earn his way to Iowa in the spring, but I'd like to see him start the year at AA too (with a quick promotion available). I think both will finish next year at Wrigley.
  10. Iowa up 3-2 after 7. Felix Pie and Eric Patterson are both 2 for 4. West Tenn down 3-0. Shaver: 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 4 K. Not to be outdone by Gallagher and Veal, Mitch Atkins goes out in style too: 7.2 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K. Peoria up 3-0 after 8. Boise and Tri-City tied at 1 after 1. Tyler Colvin with his 10th HR of the year, 5th straight game with a HR for Tyler.
  11. Daytona loses 10-0. If Palm Beach holds on today, then the Cardinals magic number will be 1 (either a Daytona loss or a PB win in the final 3 games). :(
  12. I think Dusty mentioned something about he wanted to wait till like the 5th for some of these guys since that's when their season ended or something? I seem to remember hearing that. Not just that, but Iowa is still in the playoff hunt (though Nashville's magic number is 1).
  13. Sigh. Brevard County up 9-0 in the middle of the 8th. Jon Hunton and Grant Johnson give up 9 runs in the 8th (aided in part by 2 Jonathan Mota errors). Yesterday and today: Ryan Bicondoa 8.1 IP, 2 R, 1 ER Donnie Veal: 6.1 IP, 0 R And Daytona is well on it's way to lose both these games. Great job, offense and bullpen. :( Jupiter up just 5-4 over Palm Beach in the 5th, St. Lucie wins. A Daytona loss drops them to third place.
  14. Haha, Atkins sure doesn't want to see you on the mound...he's keeping the ol' pitch count low. :D
  15. Veal finishes his regular season Daytona ERA at 1.67 and a 2.16 ERA overall. He finishes his 2006 season with 174 Ks in 154.1 innings. Daytona down 3-0 in the top of the 8th - Hunton has given up all 3 runs here in the 8th. :( At least Palm Beach is losing 5-0, although St. Lucie is up 4-1 in the 8th.
  16. 12 Ks! He's lifted after facing one batter in the 7th - to get his 12th K of the night. Donnie's final line: 6.1 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 12 K, 97 pitches. He walks off the mound to a standing ovation and tips his cap to the Daytona faithful. :D
  17. 11 Ks! A new pro career high for Donnie Veal! Apparently Donnie finishes his seasons strong...he had 10 Ks for Boise in his 2005 finale. 6 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 11 K, 93 pitches.
  18. FSL Playoff Race: Jupiter up on first-place Palm Beach 5-0 in the third. St. Lucie up on Vero Beach 2-1 in the 6th. Bah, the D-Cubs have a man out at home to end the bottom of the 5th. It's 0-0 in the top of the 6th.
  19. Donnie Veal ties his professional career high in Ks! 5 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 2 BB, 10 K 0-0 in the bottom of the 5th.
  20. Ok, I was thinking it was a very strange game time. I edited.
  21. Thanks, Nathan. That's disappointing, given how well he did in Mesa. You said he's small...how small? His height/weight isn't listed on MiLB.com. If Santo isn't ready for Game 4, who would go instead? Jiminez?
  22. Not according to this. Nice picture contributions. :D
  23. I'm so pumped up for the season to start (and Bears vs. Packers!) that I had to start the game thread already. And what good is this thread without some pics? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Navinda/tillmanhitinside120405.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v177/Navinda/brett-favre-sacked-bears.jpg The game is on FOX. GO BEARS!
  24. Which makes me happy.
