  1. Si. And Tri-City is threatening against Renshaw again - runners at second and third with one out.
  2. Hrm, today is Tyler Colvin's 21st birthday.
  3. Hawks trail 3-0 in the top of the third.
  4. Gophers are going to pull the upset. Not at Berkeley. GO BRUINS!
  5. Hrm, the story on BoiseHawks.com and the story in the Idaho Statesman make it sound not that big a deal that Ceda didn't last that long - all reminiscent of that time when Guzman went 1 inning only because he was being saved for the big league team.
  6. Boise: RHP Jake Renshaw (1-2, 3.93 ERA; overall: 1-3, 4.81 ERA) @ RHP Andrew Kriedmarcher (5-5, 3.74 ERA) Renshaw (Mesa & Boise): 39.1 IP, 31 K/11 BB
  7. Bah, nothing in the BoiseHawks.com writeup: If I can't find anything else tomorrow, I'll drop their announcer an e-mail.
  8. I'm just nervous of pitchers with injury problems. His ceiling is certainly higher than that of Longoria.
  9. I guess, if he was going to go in Game 2. I forgot to listen to the postgame show, so I guess we'll have to wait till tomorrow for word. Boise won 8-2.
  10. And the Cubs will lose by 100.
  11. Scott Moore (along with Roberto Novoa and Bo Flowers [no longer in the minors]) came in excange for Kyle Farnsworth. Here are his AA and AAA numbers this season. Here are his career numbers. Moore was the 8th overall pick in 2002 out of an Orange County, CA high school.
  12. Ceda: 2 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 HBP, 1 K, 2 WP. Got disconnected, not sure if Ceda left the game with injury but Mike Billek came in in the third. Boise now up 6-2 in the 7th.
  13. Ceda: 1 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 HBP Boise up 1-0 in the middle of the second. Colvin has the night off.
  14. Muskat in one of her mailbags. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20060814&content_id=1609547&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc uhh, that's like the opposite of what i thought and have read that ceda is. He throws in the mid-90s.
  15. I think O'Neal still thinks it wasn't too serious and Barrett just wanted out of the game.
  16. Well, he certainly came on strong in that department - between July 1st and now, he went 12/15 in SBs. He was 5/13 through June 30th.
  17. Felix's final AAA numbers: .283/.342/.452/.794 - 33 2Bs, 8 3Bs, 15 HRs, 46 BBs, 126 Ks, 17/28 SBs. All in a hitter's league. I wouldn't mind him starting at AAA next season, with a Kenny Lofton-type in CF at Wrigley.
  18. Control is supposed to be one of his strong suits, but he struggled with it down the stretch last year in the SEC (though he struggled with a lot of things then). He says he's figured out what was wrong and he was great in terms of control with Team USA. I'd guess he'd be ready in early 08.
  19. Thanks Cheese. As Serena alluded to in the Barrett thread, I have no faith in O'Neal anymore. He didn't know Barrett could have been seriously injured. Barrett asks to go to the hospital, Z asks for MRIs. The players seem to be better trainers than the trainer itself.
  20. He's being tried at the corner OFs and 1B, but not at 3B. I think that tells you what the Cubs think about his ability at 3B. I'd like to see him at C some more, because I don't know if his bat will be good enough for the corner OFs and definitely not at 1B.
  21. Well, I sat at one of the slot machines and started getting some free drinks (I'd half-ass and play slot poker, but really was paying attention to the football games). You'd definitely be able to get free drinks if you had money on the games - I didn't but was sitting in the area and I still got free drinks. Go for the beers, they're not watered-down like the mixed drinks. Oh, and the best part of the ESPN Zone was the high def TVs above each urinal.
  22. West Tenn wins their season finale. 4-1. Chris Walker, Richard Lewis, Jake Fox, Tony Richie and Carlos Rojas finish with 2 hits apiece. Brandon Sing hit a 2-run HR. JR Mathes got the complete game victory: 9 IP, 1 ER, 6 H, 1 BB, 4 K. Peoria lost to Beloit 2-0 in a 5-inning rain-shortened game. Valerio Heredia and Francisco Tirado were the only 2 Chiefs with hits (back-to-back singles to open the game). Santo's final line: 4 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 WP.
  23. He'll be an everyday player, but probably won't come anywhere close to Aramis-production.
