  1. and hits .214. rather have a good defensive catcher than a ok defensive catcher with some offense. If we had a good offense I'd agree. But not with this offense.
  2. As did the season.... Sadly, both were predictable too.
  3. It seems like every inherited runner from Hill and Marshall have scored this season.
  4. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Jerome Williams (0-2, 5.00 ERA, 18 IP, 5/6) @ RHP Kasey Olenberger (2-0, 2.91 ERA) West Tenn: LHP Chris Shaver (2-1, 2.54 ERA, 28.1 IP, 27/8) @ RHP Jim Magrane (5-2, 2.76 ERA) Peoria: LHP Donnie Veal (2-2, 2.64 ERA, 30.2 IP, 35/20) vs. LHP Ryan Schreppel (1-3. 4.86 ERA) Thanks for the update, Nathan! Poor Dylan.
  5. Hes hurt. Broken foot opening day. Expected back in the middle of June.
  6. Ugh, that's pretty stupid on Girardi's part. :(
  7. This sort of language is inappropriate, no matter the situation. This is also not allowed here. Bleeping out a few letters is just as bad. Yes, there could be a silver lining. ...yeah right! Dusty didn't give up the 3-run homer. We should be booing Dempster. 26 saves in a row until today.Booing him would be ridiculous. It's OK to boo Latroy but not Dempster. I'd hate to play the race card, but... Ok, even if your joking, after reading everything you've posted in the last few weeks, if I knew you in person I would slap you. You sound like Barry Bonds. No personal attacks.
  8. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Raul Valdes (1-2, 6.75 ERA, 28 IP, 18/8) vs. LHP Joe Saunders (4-1, 4.02 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Carlos Marmol (2-2, 3.03 ERA, 35.2 IP, 39/18) @ RHP Tony Peguero (4-2, 1.83 ERA) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg (0-3, 5.35 ERA, 33.2 IP, 34/17) @ RHP Matt Garza (5-0, 0.92) Peoria (game 1): RHP Mitch Atkins (1-0, 2.01 ERA, 31.1 IP, 35/11) @ TBD Peoria (game 2): RHP Mike Billek (3-4, 5.40 ERA, 23.1 IP, 12/5) @ TBD
  9. Uhh, Pie would have to be the CF. That OF would really lack power.
  10. I think they'll be able to get the game in, though a delay is likely: http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  11. Thanks for starting the thread! You can listen online here. Go to the KXNO link for "8:05p [ET] Colorado Springs Sky Sox @ Iowa Cubs."
  12. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Kerry Wood (rehab; Peoria: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 5 IP, 12/1) vs. LHP Justin Hampson (2-0, 1.16 ERA) West Tenn: LHP JR Mathes (3-2, 4.38 ERA, 31 IP, 16/2) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg (0-3, 4.75 ERA, 30.1 IP, 31/12) @ LHP Jose Mijares (0-1, 6.14 ERA) Peoria: RHP Mitch Atkins (1-0, 2.01 ERA, 31.1 IP, 35/11) @ TBD
  13. 3 doubles and a HR in the last 2 nights for Luis! His SLG is up to .479. Good to see Felix hitting for power (and hitting, period).
  14. With one out in the 5th, EPatt walks and then Luis Montanez hammers a double to score Eric (yay Luis, get that SLG up!). 5-1 DJaxx.
  15. Micah Hoffpauir goes opposite field for a 3-run HR (Walker and Montanez were aboard). 4-1, WT leads it in the middle of the 3rd. That was Micah's 9th of the year. He leads the SL. Randy Wells: 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1/0, 42 pitches
  16. Huh? I thought Dopirak PH in a game about a day or two ago? Nope. Ron said that wasn't him but someone else with his jersey number (I forgot whom now). Jon Mark Sprowl? I think you're right. The number in question is #56.
  17. Huh? I thought Dopirak PH in a game about a day or two ago? Nope. Ron said that wasn't him but someone else with his jersey number (I forgot whom now).
  18. Randy Wells' pitch count is up to 75 today. Aww, Nic Jackson got the day off. David Cash threw a simulated game and things went well. He's close to coming off the DL. Ron thinks Brian Dopirak will be back around mid-June.
  19. Re-named the thread. That's not kosher. Oh, and fire Dusty, Hendry and MacPhail.
  20. I was thinking of you while watching the game, UK. Heh.
  21. Rain delay in Fort Wayne for the start of the Peoria game.
  22. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Les Walrond (4-1, 2.12 ERA, 34 IP, 23/17) vs. RHP Jonathan Asahina (1-2, 6.61 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Randy Wells (1-1, 1.56 ERA, 17.1 IP, 15/4) @ RHP Matt Wright (1-1, 2.70 ERA) Daytona: RHP Matt Weber (0-3, 8.61 ERA, 23 IP, 7/8) @ RHP Kyle Aselton (2-1, 3.30 ERA) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (1-1, 1.72 ERA, 15.2 IP, 9/1) @ TBD
  23. Sam Fuld might have gotten hurt tonight on an HBP. He left the game after one full inning. In the top of the first, he was hit by a pitch, advancing to second on a bunt and then getting picked off of second. He stayed in for the bottom of the first and made a catch, but was subbed out before Daytona went to play D in the bottom of the second inning.
