Stanford beat WSU 39-37 today. Big day in the Pac-10 tomorrow: Oregon plays at UCLA, then Cal plays at Washington. As of now, UCLA and Cal are tied for first place, Washington is 1 game back (Stanford and Arizona are 1.5 back).
I'm very happy for him - he seems like the most likeable of all the US olympians (that have been shown at least). He looks genuinely thrilled crossing the line. He's a really great guy. My mom met him 4 years ago at a post-Oscar party and he let her and her co-workers touch his Olympic medal and was nice to everyone.
Maybe if you are driving from Illinois to California, but most certainly not from LA to Chicago. That was Pasadena to Downtown Chicago according to Mapquest.
Looks like the I-Cubs are finally coming back to Cali. They go to Fresno and then Sacramento in May, I'd consider driving up to the Central Valley if Angel Guzman and Felix Pie are playing for Iowa.
After playing like crap AGAIN in the first half, UCLA decided to show up in the second half against OSU and ended up blowing out the Beaves 78-60. Saturday is Senior Day at Pauley against Oregon. Cal remains tied with UCLA for first place after they held on in Pullman to beat Wazzou 44-42. Cal goes to Seattle to play U-Dub next (who's only 1 game back of first). Then, UCLA travels to Berkeley to play Cal next Thursday.
He's probably more valuable teaching the young kids who are willing to learn as opposed to veterans who are stuck in their ways. I completely agree. Not yet, he signed in the winter. Mark Prior was rated just as high without playing any pro ball (of course he had 3 years of college on Upton).
