  1. Uhh, Pie would have to be the CF. That OF would really lack power.
  2. I think they'll be able to get the game in, though a delay is likely: http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg
  3. Thanks for starting the thread! You can listen online here. Go to the KXNO link for "8:05p [ET] Colorado Springs Sky Sox @ Iowa Cubs."
  4. Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Kerry Wood (rehab; Peoria: 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 5 IP, 12/1) vs. LHP Justin Hampson (2-0, 1.16 ERA) West Tenn: LHP JR Mathes (3-2, 4.38 ERA, 31 IP, 16/2) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg (0-3, 4.75 ERA, 30.1 IP, 31/12) @ LHP Jose Mijares (0-1, 6.14 ERA) Peoria: RHP Mitch Atkins (1-0, 2.01 ERA, 31.1 IP, 35/11) @ TBD
  5. 3 doubles and a HR in the last 2 nights for Luis! His SLG is up to .479. Good to see Felix hitting for power (and hitting, period).
  6. With one out in the 5th, EPatt walks and then Luis Montanez hammers a double to score Eric (yay Luis, get that SLG up!). 5-1 DJaxx.
  7. Micah Hoffpauir goes opposite field for a 3-run HR (Walker and Montanez were aboard). 4-1, WT leads it in the middle of the 3rd. That was Micah's 9th of the year. He leads the SL. Randy Wells: 3 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1/0, 42 pitches
  8. Huh? I thought Dopirak PH in a game about a day or two ago? Nope. Ron said that wasn't him but someone else with his jersey number (I forgot whom now). Jon Mark Sprowl? I think you're right. The number in question is #56.
  9. Huh? I thought Dopirak PH in a game about a day or two ago? Nope. Ron said that wasn't him but someone else with his jersey number (I forgot whom now).
  10. Randy Wells' pitch count is up to 75 today. Aww, Nic Jackson got the day off. David Cash threw a simulated game and things went well. He's close to coming off the DL. Ron thinks Brian Dopirak will be back around mid-June.
  11. Re-named the thread. That's not kosher. Oh, and fire Dusty, Hendry and MacPhail.
  12. I was thinking of you while watching the game, UK. Heh.
  13. Rain delay in Fort Wayne for the start of the Peoria game.
  14. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Les Walrond (4-1, 2.12 ERA, 34 IP, 23/17) vs. RHP Jonathan Asahina (1-2, 6.61 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Randy Wells (1-1, 1.56 ERA, 17.1 IP, 15/4) @ RHP Matt Wright (1-1, 2.70 ERA) Daytona: RHP Matt Weber (0-3, 8.61 ERA, 23 IP, 7/8) @ RHP Kyle Aselton (2-1, 3.30 ERA) Peoria: RHP Scott Taylor: (1-1, 1.72 ERA, 15.2 IP, 9/1) @ TBD
  15. Sam Fuld might have gotten hurt tonight on an HBP. He left the game after one full inning. In the top of the first, he was hit by a pitch, advancing to second on a bunt and then getting picked off of second. He stayed in for the bottom of the first and made a catch, but was subbed out before Daytona went to play D in the bottom of the second inning.
  16. Probable Starters: Iowa: LHP Ryan O'Malley (1-1, 5.14 ERA, 14 IP, 11/1) vs. RHP Miguel Asencio (1-2, 5.31 ERA) West Tenn: RHP Juan Mateo (1-2, 2.87 ERA, 31.1 IP, 21/14) @ RHP Ryan Basner (0-2, 6.95 ERA) Daytona: RHP Mark Holliman (1-2, 4.55 ERA, 29.2 IP, 29/15) @ RHP Kevin Slowey (1-1, 1.53) Peoria: LHP Jesus Yepez (1-1, 2.42 ERA, 26 IP, 13/15) @ RHP Steve Delabar (0-2, 4.32 ERA)
  17. It sounded like he was using his changeup more frequently tonight and got at least one K with it. The three doubles are the most XBH he's allowed in a game so far this season. His BAA is up to .276, 42 hits allowed, 35 singles / 6 doubles / 1HR. ERA 1.96 / WHIP 1.23 / FO-GO 17-51 / K-BB 43-9. :( The good relay throw in the 9th was Weston - Simokaitis - Rick (I thought it was Fuld). Actually, he got at least 2 with the change.
  18. Hill apparently has an 11-5 and a 12-6 curve. Apparently!? You should be demoted from starting the minor league threads. :P
  19. Not enough second baseman on the big league team.
  20. Jake Fox with a solo HR to make it 5-2 Daytona. It's his 10th of the season, tying his HR total for 2005. By the way, Fox was robbed of a HR yesterday (he also hit one yesterday).
  21. Top 6th: - Finningan is the new Lakeland pitcher. - Weston bloops a single to RF. - Fox lines a single to LF, Weston takes second. - Craig singles to RF, Weston scores. The game is tied at 2. - Rick walks on a full count to load the bases. - Simokaitis bloops a single to LF, Fox scores. Daytona leads 3-2. - Spears grounds into the FC, 4-6-3. Spears beats the throw to first. Craig scores, Daytona now leads 4-2. 1 out. - Spears steals second, but comes off the base and is tagged out. 2 outs. - Fuld walks on a full count. - Fuld steals second base. - Spearman lines out to third base. Gallagher's 6th: - Ramirez lines a single to RF. - Mendez strikes out. 1 out. - Robinson weakly grounds into a FC, 6-3. Ramirez advances to second. 2 outs. - McIntyre flies out to RF. Daytona leads Lakeland 4-2 after 6 innings. Gallagher: 6 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 6/1 I'd have to assume Gallagher's night is done. If so, he recovered well from a tough start and pitched well despite not having his best stuff and control.
  22. In the 2nd inning, Iowa and Colorado Springs are scoreless. West Tenn is up 1-0 in the second on a Nic Jackson double and a Luis Montanez RBI single. Peoria down 6-0 in the 8th inning.
  23. Top 5th: - Rick was HBP or walked on a full count (the announcers couldn't tell if the pitch hit Rick or not). - Simokaitis grounds into a FC, 3-6, on a great play by Lakeland's first baseman. 1 out. - Spears walks, Simokaitis to second. - Fuld singles to RF, Simokaitis scores, Spears advances to second. Daytona now down 2-1. - Spearman flies out to LF, runners hold. 2 outs. - Harvey flies out to CF. Gallagher's 5th: - Mejia grounds out 6-3, Simokaitis displayed great range to get that grounder. 1 out. - Thomas strikes out swinging on a change in the dirt, 2 outs. - Frazier lines a singler to RCF. - Larish flies out to LF. After 5, Lakeland leads it 2-1. Gallagher: 5 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 5/1
  24. Top 4th: - Weston strikes out swinging on a 1-2 count. - Fox grounds out, 1-3, barely making contact on a pitch he was ducking away from. - Craig pops out to second base on a full count. In the middle of the 4th, Lakeland leads 2-0. Gallagher's 4th: - Ramirez strikes out swinging on 3 pitches, the third being a FB up in the zone, 1 outs. - Mendez pops out to Simokaitis on a full count, 2 outs. - Robinson walks on 5 pitches. - McIntyre singles to RCF, Robinson advances to third. - Dlugach strikes out. Gallagher: 4 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 4/1
