  1. C'mon guys, we need Neifi's defense with Maddux pitching. Who else will catch all those gopher balls*? Temps should be in the low 40s at game time with a 40% chance of showers. Winds will be blowing in at about 20 mph. I think this is when I mention it will be 60 tomorrow in LA. :) http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_medium_usen.jpg *I know, the wind isn't going to be blowing out. Still.
  2. Estrada comes in with 1 out and the bases juiced and gets the final two outs with ease. Veal's final line: 3.1 IP 4 ER, 2 H, 1 HR, 6 BB, 2 K, 80 pitches. After 4, Peoria trails 4-2.
  3. Daytona losing 6-3 in the 6th inning. Fuld with a solo HR, Berg gave up 4 in 4. Argh, now Veal gives up a single to load the bases with none out. Sac fly scores anther for Wisconsin. Now Veal walks another and his night is done. Estrada coming in... 3.1 IP 4 ER, 2 H, 1 HR, 6 BB, 2 K, 80 pitches - all 3 guys on base are his responsibility. Nathan: "You can tell Veal has great stuff, he just needs to get it under control."
  4. Veal walks his 4th and 5th to open the 4th inning. :( Jesse Estrada warming up in the Peoria pen.
  5. Ryan Norwood scores on an IF RBI single by Brandon Taylor. One out later, Mark Reed singles to LF, Taylor advances to third. Reed took second on an errant throw back to the IF. Dylan Johnston walks on 4 straight ones, Taylor scores on ball 4 (Reed advances to third) which was a passed ball. 3-2 Wisconsin. Johnston steals second. Davey Gregg now grounds out, 1-3. Wisconsin leads 3-2 in the middle of the 4th.
  6. Haha, Wisconsin baserunner tries to steal third on a popup, rounds third and heads back to second but forgets to tag up third. The Chiefs get the double play out of it. Ryan Norwood with a leadoff double to open up the 4th.
  7. Veal gives up a 3-run HR to Casey Craig. :( Craig fouled off 4 pitches with 2 strikes before hitting the HR. The two guys on base were aboard via bases on balls. Veal: 2 IP, 3 ER, 1 H, 3 BB, 2 K Wisconsin leads Peoria 3-0.
  8. Nathan gives NSBB a shoutout while talking about where Bo Flowers went.
  9. Veal hit 91 mph on the gun on a K in the 2nd inning.
  10. How that guy on the right isn't Marcus Fizer I have no idea. Unless he has talent. That could be the difference.[/img] Are you saying the guy on the right looks like Fizer?
  11. Nathan, you sound great! Heh, you were pumped for Veal's K and Reed throwing out the base runner. Thanks for the shoutout in the 2nd inning!!!
  12. Randy is one of my faves in the minor league system (sure seems like I have a lot), so this is definitely very cool.
  13. Mark Reed throws out someone trying to steal third! Veal: 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 1 K Wisconsin and Peoria are scoreless through 1.
  14. Heck, I saw him in Mesa on March 17!
  15. Huh, wonder why Chadd Blasko isn't in Daytona like Nic Jackson is, then.
  16. Albuquerque wins it 8-4. Good day for Theriot, Sing and Ryu, not so much for Brownlie.
  17. Thursday's Probable Starters: Iowa: RHP Jae-Kuk Ryu West Tenn: LHP J.R. Mathes (2005: 11-8, 4.49 ERA, 132.1 IP) @ LHP Ray Liotta (2005: 14-5, 2.03, 166 IP) Daytona: RHP Justin Berg Peoria: LHP Donnie Veal (2005: 1-3, 3.18 ERA, 39.2 IP) @ RHP Jason Snyder (2005: 9-7, 4.82 ERA, 114 IP)

  20. According to the Daytona Beach News-Journal, Nic Jackson has found his way to Daytona.
  21. If that's the case, Noah and Roy, plz. Even though I hate Noah right now. There's almost no way the Bulls have the opportunity to take two guys from that list. Sure doesn't look like the Bulls will have two lottery picks! :)
  22. If that's the case, Noah and Roy, plz. Even though I hate Noah right now.
  23. Just quit school. Only to get a job and not be able to watch Cubs games period.
  24. Cedric Bozeman and Ryan Hollins don't look as excited. P.S. I'll have the probable starters up tomorrow.
  25. They're expecting winds from about 10-15 mph blowing out to LF or left center field, with game time temps in the low 50s.
