The line functions primarily as a unit. While a true franchise LT can make a difference (Ogden, Pace) its still really important to be solid 1-5. When looking 1-5 our weakest points were LG, C, and RT. It also happens those spots are going to be a lot easier to fill than LT. And we have to also add RG to the list due to injury. Yea if the right LT is at 20 (or close and you trade up), or the FA$ add up, I'd love a LT, but if you do the other spots right you can live with an average left tackle. Jay isn't a statue who is particularly vulnerable to the blond side. I'm much more worried about fixing weak links, and sadly through a combination of performance and injury, Webb is #5 on that list. Whether through FA or draft, I want the best linemen, regardless of position. And I need 3-4, but will settle for 2-3 so efficiency is still a consideration, particularly when talking about FA money and what the designation of LT can do to one's price tag.
