  2. It's possible, I just think if there is a change it'll primarily be due to wantin to do something different the second time around rather than new information that has come out. Star's issues were well known when we did the first round and Werner's still a guy who should go late in the first but is a top 10 candidate. I do agree we may see some differences in the 2 first rounds, but it'd probably be for reasons other than new information changing people's opinion of who they chose initially. I don't think there is a ton of new info on players, but more info on certain teams thought process. So depending on how you do your picks, you may choose a new player if additional rumors came out in regards to that team, rather than the player. If you picked based on what you would do, I agree there is less likely to be info to change your mind. I know in years past we did the first round much earlier and this year was a much faster pace, so should be less change in general. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. All it takes is one of the top 5 or 6 to change what happens next, and the Jets/Tampa trade certainly throws a wrench. I would be shocked if we went through the first 12 with the same selections. Other than changing it up just for the same of changing it up, I'm not sure what new information is out there to change the first 12 picks. We've not had anybody rise a huge amount or anybody's stock collapse either. I wouldn't be stunned if the first 12 picks stay exactly the same if we redo it. That said I'm more than willing to do it if the interest is there. Its impossible to say what certain posters will do, but just in the top five I could see Star and Werner dropping and Fischer going 4. You may still see about 80% of the same picks, but a different order. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. You must be new here. 9+years snd still getting the hang of it I guess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Any chance we can split the huge side discussion and leave this thread just related to Wrigley Field? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yea its really disheartening to hear fans get excited about trades when a player does well rather than just, you know, being excited we have a player playimg well. Sure come July it may be in our best interest to sell high on some Journeyman veteran, but I'd like to just hope it correlates into more winning for the time being. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I won't be suprised if they do, but not suprised if they don't either. I think it depends on whos there. Cant be worried about pushing off an unknown like Carimi or guys on one year deals like Webb and Slauson. Good note about Cooper though. Now I can prep myself for when we pass on him. And even though he us enticing I'm okay with that as long as I like the player we'd opt for over him. The most disappointing thing is they seem content with Garza. I suppose they can get a C prospect in rd 4 and they would need a year to groom anyways, but Garza is just bad now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Trade up if both are available at 18. No way I'd trade up, especially if both are there. I'd take my chances one falls. If not trade down or get someone else, depending on who falls. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Didnt Soldier Field have that then lose it when the spaceship landed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I don't understand this sentiment. They have positioned themselves so they can justify selecting just about any position with the 1st pick, outside of QB and RB. Damn jersey I don't ever agree with you but you're spot on. I might add S to that list. Partially because I doubt at 20 S could be BPA. Seems like their are too many teams with a need that will drive up the price and not really any cant miss types. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. "more of a receiving option"? no way they go tight end. Wasn't there just an ESPN article saying Ertz was tge TE they were looking at? I'm sure its 90% smokescreen with Emery anyways. Just can't wait until the draft. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Could Emery work a deal with the guy that booted him out of his job in Atlanta before recommending him to KC? If Trufant is there its possible. I wouldn't mind him on the Bears though, so depends on the board. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Don't remember, but maybe had something to do with the expansion of the passing game, and thus more receivers being on rosters. The teens were pretty much just QB's before, right? Might have been a few punters or kickers with those numbers, but yeah, pretty much just the QB's. I seem to recall guys sharing numbers in camp and then at roster cuts, guys would switch to available numbers if they surprisingly made the team. I could be wrong, but it seems like KeyShawn Johnson was the first guy to wear a teens number. He was the first and only for a long time. They should just go to college rules. Down lineman 50-79. Eligible Receivers. 1-49, 80-89. Defense, doesn't matter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Not a bad draft. I know its unrealstic, but I just want to fill so many areas with depth DT, CB, LB, WR, OG but you just can't do it in one draft. If we can pick up one extra top 75-90pick it will be a good thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Make me Bears GM, obviously. Got an interesting situation here.... It’s the Bears turn and got an offer from 49ers: 20th and 50th pick for 31st, 34th, 61st, and 93rd Some of the players left on the board for the Bears: Olgetree, Werner, Warmack, Ansah, Cooper, Te’o, and Richardson. Do you pick one of these guys or do the trade and hope one of these guys make it to 31st? Just curious as to what you guys would do here. I can see both side on this and right now I’m leaning towards the trade as an extra 2nd and 3rd outweighs drafting a stud like Warmack. Go for it. Based on the several i've ran you can still get an impact at 31. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ravens select David Quessenberry, OT San Jose State Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Its for parties. Just attended my first one on Saturday for a bachelor party. The cold certainly didn't help, but most people (myself included) spent a good chink of time inside at the bar. It wasn't awful, but I wouldn't go again with the intent of watching baseball. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. As we're nearing the end of the third I know some peope's interest may wane in day 3 propsects. What are peoples thoughts about continuing the draft into the 4th vs. restarting round one now that we are only about 2 weeks away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Posted this in the draft thread too, but if anyone wants a fun draft sim to hold you over until the real draft, check out www.first-pick.com Seemed a bit unrealistic, but you could even have more fun if you were a total draft junkie and tracked every picks rather than skipping ahead to your picks. www.first-pick.com My first draft sim: Make me Bears GM, obviously.
  20. Semi Unrelated here. If anyone is looking for a decent draft holdover - there is a semi-fun draft simulator to play. Seemed a bit unrealistic, but you could even have more fun if you were a total draft junkie and tracked every picks rather than skipping ahead to your picks. www.first-pick.com My first draft sim: Make me Bears GM, obviously.
  21. I recall the Cubs blocking the rooftops with screens. Was it the deal that caused that to stop or something with landmark status? Would have been interesting to erect the screens and just let them die out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Honestly I'm not sure as I've kind of ignored the 3rd round prospects to an extent. Maybe Sio Moore. Edit- or he just got picked so I really don't know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I think the Steelers would be very happy to run this pick up. WR is a big need, and maybe more so with Sanders being tendered (which they may not match and take the Pat 3rd, pick 91). They won't mind passing on WR in the first two rounds if this guy is there in the third. Steelers pick WR Markus Wheaton, Oregon St. He had a productive career and wowed with his combine numbers being at the top in the shuttle, cone drill, and bench among WR, to go along with 4.45 speed. He has the potential to make fans forget about Mike Wallace in a few years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Honestly, the long term goal for the cubs should be to remove regular traffic from waveland and sheffield permanently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Sitting behind Nate at both positions Not the starting 3 for Minn? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
