  1. According to what forecast? I see no rain all day.
  2. In your opinion, is it reasonable to draw a line and say “I don’t want to trade Caissie for a rental?” If so, the list gets pretty damn short for me. I’m not into dealing him for Mitch Keller. Edward Cabrera is interesting but the recent elbow issue is scary. Alcantara is also interesting but holy horsefeathers have the results been bad. Mackenzie Gore and Joe Ryan obviously are on the list but I don’t think either of them are going anywhere. Realistically, I think he ends up going for one of the Marlins pitchers.
  3. I hope his audition goes horribly and we can stop talking about him as an option.
  4. I share their concern. They should rest him for a month or two just to be on the safe side.
  5. I’m fine with Rea as a fifth starter. He was signed as rotation depth and I think he’s done a cromulent job since being called into action. You need rotation depth that’s not going to get bombed out of games in the second inning and tax the bullpen every five days. And I guess someone needs to drive the Colin Rea Bandwagon, so I admire your work here. But we’re still talking about a guy with a 4.48/5.48/4.78 ERA/FIP/xFIP going back to May 1. If other posters want to dream bigger than that, I see no issue.
  6. Hill has spent parts of 19 seasons in the minors. Given how much he’s earned over his career, dude must really love baseball.
  7. I honestly can’t believe the amount of consternation about this particular loss. By all accounts, Jed is very actively trying to plug some holes in the rotation and maybe even add an impact pen arm to the mix. Brown and Flexen likely won’t be on the roster in ten days. The headline of the game for me is our rookie 3B is maybe turning a corner. Otherwise, burn the fuckin’ tape and move on.
  8. I’m old enough to remember when the 11th best team with a bad pitching staff held the Red Sox and Yankees to 4 runs in 36 innings.
  9. Wasn’t Seiya getting time out there In spring training?
  10. Oh, 100% agree on the last part. I’m a bit higher on the OL than you are, but 15 feels about right given the complete lack of pass rush and uncertainty surrounding Caleb and much of the skill position group. Assuming health and that Ben Johnson and this coaching staff is a real step up from Eberflus & co., there’s a path to the playoffs there.
  11. I can see not bring into the DL signings, but are you down on the 3 veteran OL they brought in?
  12. Oh well. Back to back series wins against playoff teams.
