  1. Wasn’t Seiya getting time out there In spring training?
  2. Oh, 100% agree on the last part. I’m a bit higher on the OL than you are, but 15 feels about right given the complete lack of pass rush and uncertainty surrounding Caleb and much of the skill position group. Assuming health and that Ben Johnson and this coaching staff is a real step up from Eberflus & co., there’s a path to the playoffs there.
  3. I can see not bring into the DL signings, but are you down on the 3 veteran OL they brought in?
  4. Oh well. Back to back series wins against playoff teams.
  5. Cade looked really good early on, but that should probably be it for him for the day with the top of the order coming up and the hard contact he’s given up the last two innings
  6. I don’t know much about net bases prevented, but maybe running is the best strategy?
  7. How do you miss three calls that badly in 17 pitches?
  8. To find the last time the cubs have hit at least 5 home runs in a game, you’d have to go all the way back to July 4, 2025.
  9. I don’t think he ever left it. He’s gotten the 8th each of the last two days. Just needed the all star break to reset.
  10. It looks like PCA adjusted his body a bit right before the catch to set himself up for the throw. Maybe that’s what you’re interpreting as duping the runner? Otherwise I don’t see anything out of the ordinary.
  11. This does feel like a nice gamble, but the back issues trigger some Brennen Davis PTSD for me.
  12. Doesn’t look like they’re sending him back out there. It would’ve bene the first for the Cubs since Hendricks tossed one against the Cardinals on 5/3/2019.
  13. Cubs entered the day 18 runs behind the Dodgers for the MLB lead. That gap has shrunk to 8.
  14. Happ was on base three times yesterday and should’ve had an infield single today.
