  1. I’m not going to tell anyone how to spend their money or what streamers to subscribe to. Managing all the different services is a pain in the ass. But…why shouldn’t they make a matchup between the two best teams in baseball available nationally? Plus the Apple picture quality for their telecasts is gorgeous. I’m excited.
  2. Anyone have restaurant recommendations in Detroit? My wife and I are heading up for the game on Sunday. We figure we’ll grab an early dinner somewhere before we head back home. Never spent any time there, so going in blind.
  3. “You look at the cubs roster…Kyle Tucker out…finger ailment…” *30 seconds of dead air* great stuff there, Alex.
  4. Lions 29 year old All Pro center.
  5. Frank Ragnow is retiring.
  6. imb had a really impressive spring.
  7. Yeah, this is where I’m at. Someone posted it the other day but I’m going off memory…Cubs have won or tied something in the neighborhood of 16 of 21 series. Just keep that up and things are going to be just fine. I guess my only concern is building a big enough cushion in the division to absorb SP innings limits/additional injuries later in the season. That said, assuming the current five in the rotation can continue to hold down the fort until reinforcements arrive in the form of Shota, Assad, and the trade market, I don’t really care what the other teams do. It’s actually kind of fun to think about how exasperating it is for Brewers and Cardinals fans to watch their teams go white hot for two or three weeks only to look up and see the Cubs 4+ games up in the standings.
  8. I completely forgot we got Palencia for Chafin. That’s a nice one.
  9. In fairness, he actually laid off ball 4 but it was called strike 2.
  10. No, he was intentionally inducing hard contact to the center field warning track, remember?
  11. I do feel like he hit a few balls on the screws against the Rockies, but they were dead center into the wind.
  12. I’ll be among the first to complain when the bullpen isn’t doing their job, but I really like the way they’ve been shaping up. I have a lot of trust in Keller, Thielbar, Palencia, and Pomeranz right now. Pressly and Flexen still make me a little nervous, but they’ve been getting the job done.
  13. This is true*! *If you exclude 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2023
  14. That was not a 1-2-3 inning, Alex. “Unconventional 1-2-3 inning” is not a thing.
  15. 6 Ks through 3 from Rea. Too many non-competitive pitches in the first two innings, but he’s settled in a bit.
  16. Through 51 games, 2025 Cubs are on pace to score 972 runs. Here is a the comprehensive list of other seasons in which the Cubs have scored 900+ runs: 1894 1056 1930 998 1929 982 1886 900
  17. I thought this too, but Devers had 8 RBIs today to grab the lead.
