  1. Hopefully this table is viewable…I have them at 19 names that they’ve requested to interview or been connected with. Which, of course, is ridiculous. edit: no go on the table, so here it is as an image. Vrabel and McCarthy getting cut off at the bottom.
  2. I didn’t like the quality of their 3 pt looks today. Ball movement was not good. Their most successful stretch was when they were driving and creating contact.
  3. Piss poor showing from the Illini today. Assuming no late comeback, this is an atrocious loss.
  4. I’m missing it. What do you mean by this?
  5. I don’t think they were missing anyone. Karaban got hurt late in the third of the three consecutive losses but otherwise scanning through box scores they seemed to be at full strength.
  6. Illinois has forced them into a lot of deep twos but they’ve been leaving everything short.
  7. This Illinois team is every bit as good as last year’s. Last year was top heavy with Shannon and Domask carrying the load on offense. This year there’s seven different guys taking turns from game to game. Tonight it’s Morez Johnson and Humrichous’ turn.
  8. thanks. any recs for where to find women? my local arby’s recently closed.
  9. you got any fine dining recs? my local arby’s recently closed.
  10. Four if we’re including Reid himself (McDermott, John Harbaugh, Bowles).
  11. KJ is pretty much gone no matter what. He’s projected by almost every outlet to go in the 4-7 range. I kind of think Will Riley needs another year in college to get stronger, but I can see a team using a first round pick on him based solely on potential. I hope he’s happy enough in Champaign to stay out of the transfer portal if he does wind up playing one more year in college. I’m not seeing Ivisic pop up in many mocks yet. Tankathon has him at 49. That’s all I see at a quick glance. I feel like he’s being slept on. 7-1 255 lbs, shooting 38% from deep on 4.5 attempts per game and can bang inside as well (rebounding and shot blocking numbers compare favorably with Kofi Cockburn’s numbers at Illinois). He should find a role in the nba.
  12. The immense talent on the roster was always apparent. The NW and Tennessee games are matchups I’m confident they’d have won if they were scheduled later in the season. I chalk those up to inexperience and a roster with 11 new players still feeling one another out. That they looked so in sync last night is a huge credit to Underwood. Man, the sky’s the limit for this team if guys like Humrichous, White, Davis, and DGL can keep playing like that.
  13. Lots of fun nuggets about that beat down: -Largest ever road win by ANY team over an AP top ten opponent -Illinois shot 55% from downtown…even though they started 0/7 -First opposing team to put up 100 in Matthew Knight Arena (opened in January 2011) -Most points in regulation vs a Big Ten opponent since 1990 -Illinois jumps from 18 to 9 in KenPom, 11 to 5 in Torvik, 10 to 5 in NET
  14. he horsefeathered preteens when he was in his 30s, but everyone’s created in god’s image and likeness.
  15. I mean, Pete Rose was a pedophile, so not sure about that “no one is better than anyone else” bit.
  16. i’m guessing because they disagree with you
  17. Remove Paredes edit: add Carson Kelly too
  18. I think people’s expectations are skewed by the Ohtani and Soto deals, but I also don’t think people quite appreciate how unique those two players are.
  19. I think they’re aiming higher than Castillo.
  20. Yep, I’m so high on Tucker I’m willing to forfeit an entire lineup spot to even the playing field.
  21. Happ and Busch settled in as pretty regular 1-2 by the end of last year. Given that, maybe: Happ Busch Tucker Suzuki Swanson Hoerner PCA Amaya/Kelly 3B TBD
  22. I like the thought experiment, but I’d keep Seiya and explore other avenues for improving the rotation. Even with Tucker, the lineup feels a touch light on power. And we’re devoting 3 spots to young guys still in prove it mode. I think you need the certainty Seiya offers as a hedge against potential struggles from Shaw, Amaya, and PCA. I’m pretty high on PCA’s 2025 outlook, but we’re still talking about only two or three months of strong production at the MLB from him.
  23. Jacksonville might have the easiest path two stumbling into two more wins: vs. NYJ, @LV, vs TEN, @IND.
