  1. hmmmmmmm why might bud light have “fallen off”
  2. Yeah, I get not being enthralled with Rea, but he was like the 8th starter going into the year. Three guys got injured and Brown has disappointed. Until they trade for another starter, it kinda just is what it is with Rea. We’ll just hope they can squeeze a few more starts like last night out of him until that time comes.
  3. 5.92 over his last 9 games. In fairness, his FIP over that stretch is only 5.91, so he’s been unlucky.
  4. I haven’t watched a Bulls game since like January of 2022. They’re just an absolute dogshit organization. I’m 100% convinced that the play-in was created specifically so Jerry could try even less and claim success.
  5. More on Essengue from the homie Ricky on Stacey King’s podcast last week: Intrigued by this pick. Sitting at 12 with a need for star power, might as well take a big swing on a guy with a high ceiling. He could totally bust, but whatever. This trash franchise’s only hope is falling ass backwards into a star, so go ahead and take the athletic freak.
  6. *9 pages of whining from the usual suspects.* squally: it’s one series with the wind howling out. the cubs are actually pretty good. random dude: hey, buck up, buttercup. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. I’m sure this has been responded to but catching up on this thread. PCA was #16 by MLB Pipeline heading into 2024. Shaw was #19 by MLB Pipeline heading into 2025.
  8. "I am here to play wherever they want me to play." -Rafael Devers lol
  9. I would’ve guessed he’d been out of baseball for five years.
  10. I like that Counsell is thinking big picture and getting a few guys a few days of rest with the day off tomorrow. Maddon used to do the same thing. Of course the Cubs bench was much stronger in those days.
  11. No grunting in the press box!
  12. no. he was saying imagine if (a) this was a playoff game and (b) replay didn’t exist. I thought the same thing at first but he was later g in two hypothetical factors.
  13. lol no. umps have always been bad. just ask Armando Galarraga.
