Neifi's good years? When did this happen? The Cubs like Neifi, for reasons unknown. I really doubt they dump his multi year, multi million dollar contract.

Walker against LHP this year: .239/.345/.370/.715 Last year: .352/.398/.582/.980 2004: .268/.423/.317/.740 We go get Nevin, yet Jones still hits against LHP, and Neifi is still at 2B batting second. Diriculous.

He was doing horribly in AA at age 25, and there was an outfield logjam with Walker and Jackson doing well, and Negron on the 40 man. Plus the Iowa OF is stuffed with 4 people hitting well(Pie, Restovich, Coats, Montanez), and Fuld is tearing up High A. -
You think that Nomar could handle being the everyday shortstop? On another note, Kudos to Terry Ryan for that Castillo trade.

Last night they worked the count really well. Ponson had 97 pitches in six innings. Last night, they saw 3.72 P/PA, which is right near league average. Over the previous 6 games, they had been seeing 3.26 P/PA. Huge difference !! That is probably skewed by Womack's 9 pitch at bat, no? In a 14 inning game, I doubt it.

Who thinks rival GM = Jim Bowden? Obviously Wood and Prior's value is at their lowest, which is why it doesn't make sense to deal either of them now, although it may make sense to deal Wood at the deadline.
