  1. and Julian Tavarez and Travis Harper and Jose Valverde Gagne. Are you guys being serious, or making fun. I really cannot tell. My point is while not ignoring that usage exists, trying to speculate who did or didn't use is pointless because no one can tell. What do you suggest be done? I agree that aimless fingering pointing is not the answer, but what is the solution? I was mainly trying to get the aimless finger pointing to stop.
  2. Woohoo, we drafted Parker! He's nothing special though.

  4. What about e? Well, he is riding a hot streak.

  6. My money's on Dontrelle Willis, Gabe White, Brad Lidge, and Boof Bonser. Yeah Lidge. Borowski too. Probably not David Wells. C.C. Sabathia, Aaron Small, Terry Mullholland, and Felix Hernandez, don't forget them.

  8. Hoffpauir is the new Richard Lewis.
  9. Mabry just hit the crap out of that ball.
  10. Hold on, are you guys telling me a Major League baseball player hit a home run, during a game? And there were people on base too? Cintron has a .583 OPS, if you want the White Sox to lose then you should hope to see a lot of him.
  11. He didn't get a full swing on it yet there was never any doubt the ball was gone to center field.
  12. Blue, you raise your hand and say strike when a pitch lands there.
  13. Pierre now at the .599 OPS. Soooooo close to achieving awfulness and he just can't quite reach it.
  14. It is a LH starter, I'd rather have Barrett(Whoops: Walker, Nevin, and Ramirez) and Murton hitting in front of him in that case.
  15. Cripes, the guy hit .358 and his OPS is only .843, and he made 11 errors in 56 games at second. No patience, no power, and apparently no defense.
  16. Has Andy Oliver been taken yet? I just scanned the first 7 rounds at BA and didn't see him, and they don't have any more listed.
  17. This doesn't make sense to me. The Cubs had a second base prospect that flamed out before, so you assume all future ones will be the same unless proven at the Major League level?
  18. According to John Dewan's Fielding Bible, where he analyzes defense based on play-by-play data, Grudz was the 3rd best fielding 2B in baseball last year, tied with Belliard and Hudson. For the last 3 years, he's 11th of 25, and Walker is 22nd. And OPS+ is most definitely a rate stat.
  19. What' even funnier than that is how Corey consistently showed he had no concept of stealing bases. There was many a time where Corey would reach 1st with no outs, only to stand around as if he didn't know how to steal. Even if someone FINALLY got inside of his head, it shouldn't have taken a coach to have him figure it out. It is absolutely unreal how our coaching staff can made to be look as such fools by Corey Patterson. That's like Mike Tyson out maneuvoring you in a chess match. What are you talking about? Patterson has always been a good basestealer. "Stand around as if he didn't know how to steal"? What does that even mean?
  20. Trivia of the day: Who was the last college position player the Cubs took in the first round? The Answer
