Next week's Mizzou-Nebraska matchup is either at 11 AM or 7 PM. I think that means that if both teams win this week Gameday is heading to Lincoln. Either way though, not playing at 11 AM would be nice.

Isn't a pitcher's prime a little later than a hitter's? I honestly don't remember, but if that is true then it lends more credence to Arroyo's big year being more a function of development than change in circumstances. And more to the point, getting a pitcher who in the past has been mediocre to bad in the past and hoping he'll improve is really not a smart route with the composition of this team. If you want to bank on a breakout season, then just stick Marshall or Marmol or Guzman or Mateo or Ryu there and save your money.

On the other hand, I'm pretty sure Arroyo's stuff is significantly better than Lilly's, and the difference in age is a big deal. Arroyo came over after his age 28 season, Lilly(who is a FA btw) was 30 this year and is leaving his prime.

If Mizzou had beaten aTm there is no way Gameday would have passed you guys up. I'm still not understanding why they did. That's a significantly worse matchup, imo.

I am not completely BCS literate so I was looking at the BCS poll and is Mchigan and USC tied for number 1 in the computer rankings? Basically, yes-they are not necessarily #1 in any individual poll, but they are completely tied right now overall in the computers. Actually, USC is #1 in 3 of the computer polls, Michigan is #1 in 2 of them, and OSU is #1 in the remaining one.

I am not completely BCS literate so I was looking at the BCS poll and is Mchigan and USC tied for number 1 in the computer rankings? There are 6 computer polls, they are tied for number 1 in the average of those(average 4, drop the best and worst rank). Here's how the computer averages rank: T-1. Michigan T-1. USC 3. Ohio State 4. Florida 5. Cal 6. Auburn 7. Rutgers 8. Notre Dame 9. Louisville 10. Arkansas 11. Tennessee 12. Boise State 13. Texas 14. West Virginia 15. Clemson T-16. Boston College T-16. Wisconsin 18. I'd guess he's going to get at least 50M. Let's face it...a team isn't going to pony up 25M-30M just for the rights to negotiate, and then lose him by playing hardball with the contract details. I think as a dominating 26 year old in this free agent market, he's going to get a great contract. They aren't going to lose him though. It's much more unlikely that Daisuke shows up his team and returns to Japan over a couple million. This year was Ichiro's 6th season and he's only made ~45 million.

Johnson and Boldin don't get in the endzone and I'm gonna be 7-0. Not too many complaints about the first half of the season. Now if Roast and Uber would lose, that would be ideal. 2 games in front of everyone, 4 games in front of playoff hopefuls.

Daisuke isn't going to get 60 mil contracturally, and if he does, then he'd be well worth the total investment because he'd be one of the best pitchers in the game.

Trammell to be Lou's bench coach

He's also one of, if not THE best shortstop not in the HOF. Agrred. And then you take in account the numbers of 2 current HOFers who play SS, and compare them with Trammell's: .260/.299/.367 .262/.337/.328 .285/.352/.415 First line is Bill Mazeroski (yeah, a REAL HOF statline, ain't it) Second line is Ozzie Smith (HTH do you have a higher OBP then slg?) Third line is Alan Trammell. Alan is CLEARLY better then both Ozzie and Bill, and those two boneheads are in the HOF and Trammell is not? Apparently Alan Trammell has what Sandberg had, and what Santo currently have, the disdain of Joe Morgan. Becuase if Maz and Smith are HOFers, then according to that logic, Trammell would be an elite of the HOF. I thought Mazerowski was a second baseman? Correct. 2094 games at 2B, 10 at 3B, 0 at SS. -

Splitting the two-step hurt the margin for error in this two game stretch(v. OU, @ Nebraska). The crowd should be great, OU plays only it's second road game of the year and it's first without Peterson, and Mizzou has wiped out every opponent it has played at home. Plz win Mizzou.
