    I agree with Derwood here. Your post wasn't clear that you knew Heyward has been on the DL for multiple weeks. Just the wording maybe.

    where was the line of scrimmage? It looks like hes got 2-3 OL down field too far. Not an excuse to miss a wide open Burton, just an observation LOS was the 3.

    The Cubs look horsefeathering exhausted. Ideally, you'd win today and use tomorrow as the big rest day, the day before a long flight to Arizona. However, you have a pretty crappy lefty pitcher who's 4 starts in after being in the bullpen all year against your ace who's been pitching pretty well of late. You should have whatever's left of the good relievers fully available today. I'd probably start something like: Happ, Almora, Bryant in the OF Bote, Russell, Zobrist, Caratini in the IF Contreras catching. Win today with those guys, and I might actually sit 3 of Rizzo, Baez, Murphy, Bryant, Zobrist on Sunday too. Still would have that 1/2 game lead if you lose and the Brewers win. Plus, I'm not too worried about the division since the wildcard is still a very real option and it's likely going to be a Cubs/Brewers NLDS anyway, where the Cubs are essentially the home team either way.

If not for that error on the pickoff, the Cubs are being shutout right now. And still tied. I was doing a thing and you guys ruined it. First post then Baez got a solid hit. Second post then Caratini got a RBI.

    He's got to see that receiver coming open before Dix is in position to make a play. There was absolutely a window for an easy TD throw there Exactly. I am by no means an expert so I could be talking out my ass but it seems like something he should either be able to pick up pre-snap or sense as the play is developing. Wasn't covered at any point up to that point. Mitch has to see that. If we see a still of his hands up, the ball should have already been on the way there, not his first read, but its right in front of him.

    checks out I think that one to the left about 25 was actually one of his best throws of the night and bounced off Sims gut. Point stands, though. That throw was outside the pocket though, so he didn't throw across the field to his left. It was basically the equivalent of throwing to the left hash if he was in the middle of the field. Also, he has to throw that ball to Burton in the end zone. By the time he saw it, the safety (Dix) saw it, so maybe he thought he couldn't get it there, but he literally made the same throw earlier in the game in a much tighter window to Robinson. He also needs to throw that TD to Cohen on the wheel route on their final drive with the lead. Collinsworth said it was good coverage, but the 270lb LB was beat and never turned around. Easy TD.

    The Packers played zone and the Bears just called plays to target man to man defenses and just hoped for the best? Yikes. It was also a very discouraging performance from Mitch. He just turtled in the second half. He looked panicked and didn't know where to go with the ball. I think that once the defense gets up and running with Mack and Roquan, they are going to be excellent. Roquan needs to play more because Kwiatkowski got shredded in coverage. I take away from this performance, that if you don't use it, you lose it. Mitch made excellent throws in the first 2 drives. Then got handcuffed by his coach. Then he was forced to open it back up with his team down and in the 2-minute drill against 8 in coverage. Hard to dial it back that far and then turn it back up with the game on the line.

    Kush got his ass kicked all night. Wanna say Long and Massie were really good. Long had the 1 penalty when he literally slipped and grabbed a guy so as to not get his QB killed.

    Yeah, probably. It's what they've always done against the Bears. Really poorly coached game by the Bears. Trubisky started 7-7 for 104 yards. Was 16-28, 67 yards after. Take out the 2-7 for 18 yards on the final drive. Trubisky was 14-21 (still 67% completion), but for 49 yards. That's disgusting. Only 3 of those 21 passes were thrown more than 3 yards from the LOS.
