  1. Bears doing a lot of not going straight to the first down marker.
  2. LOL. That was the right throw.
  3. This is frustrating. Now Mitch throwing dimes, but free blitzers, uncalled offsides, and penalties keeping this game closer than it should be.
  4. Sending a lot of blitzes. I think lack of a proven TE and Baldwin being out is allowing that.
  5. One score game in a dominant half. Three drives at or near the 40 or further, resulting in 0 points.
  6. Lynch and Trevathan having really good halves.
  7. His best play was that Howard run where he didn't block anyone, just got out of the way.
  8. Holy crap Mitchell.
  9. Horrible trajectory of that pass by Mitch.
  10. Yeah, there's been some. Reading a lot of "Jacksonville should have picked Mahomes over Fournette" today since Yeldon is a capable RB.
  11. Maddon listened to me. Sat 3 of the big 5 yesterday (Rizzo, Baez, Bryant, Murphy, Zobrist), and sat the other 2 today. If they are still up by at least 1.5 I do the same thing next Wednesday, maybe sitting all 5 out since Heyward and Schwarber should be back and able to play.
  12. 2nd time in a row, actually. Brutal performance by the alma mater. Great first drive that they couldn't finish and then it was a bloodbath from there. IU looked really good. Oh, yeah I forgot we broke that streak already. lol Feeling optimistic we can go bowling again this year. Would love to get the W next weekend. Michigan St. doesn't look very good so far, despite being top 25. Squeaked by Utah St, lost to Arizona St, who just lost to San Diego St. But should be able to beat any team that gets their ass kicked by Kansas (Rutgers). A win next weekend would put us at 5-0 going into the Ohio St, Iowa, Penn St gauntlet. Then would have to worry about getting at least 1 of Minnesota, Maryland and Purdue. Would love to get 8 wins this year somehow.
  13. 26-0 loss in Seattle in Week 3 of 2015. Marshall was gone. Jeffery was hurt. Cutler had 48 net yards passing (63- 15 in sacks).
  14. We scored, do we win now? Is the game over? I don't know how this works.
  15. Doug Baldwin, KJ Wright, and Bobby Wagner are all out Monday night. DJ Fluker also out. Shaquill Griffin is also doubtful, in addition to another pair of backup DBs. If the Bears don't win this game, it's going to be a long season.
  16. Agreed, nobody paying attention would think that. For all he knew, you've been half paying attention since September. Just seems like if you wanted to convey that there's been no updates on Heyward, you'd say "there's been no updates on Heyward" instead of including why Almora is in the lineup just a few posts after the lineup was posted, after a handful of comments about the lineup. Especially considering Almora would likely be in the lineup over Heyward anyway if healthy, because a LHP is on the mound.
  17. I agree with Derwood here. Your post wasn't clear that you knew Heyward has been on the DL for multiple weeks. Just the wording maybe.
  18. where was the line of scrimmage? It looks like hes got 2-3 OL down field too far. Not an excuse to miss a wide open Burton, just an observation LOS was the 3.
  19. The Cubs look horsefeathering exhausted. Ideally, you'd win today and use tomorrow as the big rest day, the day before a long flight to Arizona. However, you have a pretty crappy lefty pitcher who's 4 starts in after being in the bullpen all year against your ace who's been pitching pretty well of late. You should have whatever's left of the good relievers fully available today. I'd probably start something like: Happ, Almora, Bryant in the OF Bote, Russell, Zobrist, Caratini in the IF Contreras catching. Win today with those guys, and I might actually sit 3 of Rizzo, Baez, Murphy, Bryant, Zobrist on Sunday too. Still would have that 1/2 game lead if you lose and the Brewers win. Plus, I'm not too worried about the division since the wildcard is still a very real option and it's likely going to be a Cubs/Brewers NLDS anyway, where the Cubs are essentially the home team either way.
  20. Murphy has done nothing since his first week in Chicago.
  21. Better score 9 before Hader comes in next inning and finishes this game out.
  22. Maddon's the best manager in the league. Genius!
