    Set the over/under and let's make a bet. Please keep your line consistent with your statement. They won't have a top 5 payroll, wherever that line is. They won't sign anyone longer than 5 years. Pick a dollar figure that represents "Low Payroll". Also, avoiding contracts longer than 5 years is generally a good thing as long as you can still get the players.

    My take on it is that they want him to learn to be more aggressive. He's a lot more likely to do that with the second team than when he's sharing the court with the all-stars.

    obviously there is a break-even point on what it would cost to get Moore, but the Bears not being contenders should not be a part of that convo The problem is the same one the Cubs had this year with acquiring Soto. Moore has "X" amount of value to the Bears for future seasons. For teams that are contending this year, he has "X" + "Y" value since they will value his contributions for this season, as well. To actually acquire him, the Bears have to pay for the value for this season *and* future seasons. Which is why it is really unlikely to happen.

    Going for 2 was absolutely the right call. The play may have even been decent - the DB made a do or die play and nailed it.

    Nonsense. The throw to Pettis was perfectly fine. If Pettis runs through his route that throw is right on the money. Instead he cut it off and jumped too early.

    use Madrigal in the trade for Marquez. He'd hit .350 in Coors.

    There was nobody with *any* separation on that play. Yes we saw the replay. But not just this play. He’s already scrambled 4 times in 8 drop backs. Again I don’t know who is getting open and at least once he was pressured in a hurry Seems like Johnston has been commenting that there's nobody open on most of the scrambles.

    Welp. Returning kicks from the first 5 yards of the end zone is pretty clearly a coaching philosophy at this point. No matter who the KR is, they're being told to return it instead of kneel I don't mind it if they break it out to the 40 once in a while. But they're not getting the reward part of the risk/reward.

    I'm good with Marquez as a target, but not if they're only adding a single "ace" to the team. So if he's 1A and there's a 1B for the rotation, I'd be fine. But I don't like him as much when he's the only target to bolster the top of the rotation.

    I admit I wasn't excited about the Bielema hire, but he's doing a good job getting us back to winning
