  1. Illini taking it to Minnesota and douche fleck. Love it.
  2. Me three, I was stuck in suspended animation when Buck was explaining the slip. God damn what an amazing moment.
  3. I don't think he'll necessarily be the train wreck that he was for the Cubs again next year. For cripes sakes he was an all star in 2017! Lol. Maybe they can trade him this offseason.
  4. Yeah, I liked the trade at the time but Niko has been pretty great for the Pellies. That pick was potentially a lotto but they really took off when he was acquired. Hutchison is athletic but not sure how much skill is there.
  5. I found myself rooting for the Dodgers last night, but I think it was just residuals from the Milwaukee series. Both teams have fun players. I guess we want the Red Sox to win but I'm tired of Boston winning stuff. They were kind enough to beat the Cardinals in 04 and 13, I guess.
  6. GARPAX is so bad, who thought Jabari Parker would be a good idea? Just plays no defense whatsoever. I can't believe they thought this team would compete for anything, it's clearly another tanking year.
  7. Ole benzo has a little brad Pitt in 12 monkeys thing going on.
  8. I think the Red Sox offense is just too good. Back to back years of heartbreak for the Doyers.
  9. If the VB fans grow to hate Machado it might be more fun to get him.
  10. 2003 - Marlins 2004 - Red Sox 2005 - White Sox 2006- horsefeathering 83 horsefeathering win horsefeathering Cardinals 2007 - Red Sox AGAIN I was pretty convinced that some kind of higher power did actually hate the Cubs. It felt like weird sweet relief when the Phillies won in 2008. Yes, these were my post-college years in which I lived in Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park around many of my college friends who were all Cardinal and White Sox fans. Dark days.
  11. The Astros and Red Sox are really freaking good. It's baseball and all but I think either one will handle the NL winner rather easily.
  12. What team left is the most likable? For most people it would be the brewers but we obviously can't have that. I think the Indians are in trouble so maybe the Yankees? Really no fun options as far as cheering goes, although I guess I don't care THAT much who wins.
  13. I will never not feel just a twinge of anxiety thinking about 2016 and the house of cards that that WS win was constructed upon. Not the team necessarily, just the circumstances and Game 7 nature of things. Change any little thing and it could have blown away forever. I mean, if you told me I could go back in time and tell Theo to avoid signing Heyward, I wouldn't do it.
  14. If we're reacquiring a former cubs second baseman I'd rather go with DJ Whittenhieu.
  15. I too would like a super bullpen. Also need to fix the offense, no big deal for one off season, eh.
  16. Yeah, I'm oddly confident that if we win tonight we'll be in decent to good shape against the VBs. Pretty much house money at that point.
  17. Contract the Clerbs. Did you think we were playing the VBs with that video?
  18. Agreed, gonna end up as a 12 car pileup like the playoffs last year.
  19. Yeah, it's tough to feel confident about a series against Milwaukee right now. At this point I'm just like whatever.
  20. Well that was a fitting finish to the regular season.
