    Man the Cubs have come a long way from 2015's "LOLOL, so many talented shortstops in the org, how will we ever fit them all on the field?!?" to 2018's "so do we think Zack Short can handle innings at short next year or?" Love me some Nico Hoerner. It's crazy how Addison Russell's offensive game has gone in the tank. I thought this guy was going to be a superstar.

    Definitely happy imo. He seems to have abandoned the two-handed finish; I wonder if he goes back to that tonight.

    Russell and Chapman and Lackey? Who else? start at the top with the money behind the operations, papa rickets. Then you have that horsefeathers nebraskan politician ricket. Then you got your Maddon. Then you have the pitching coach Bosio who has since left and then got fired for having said some racist horsefeathers. Russell and Chapman sucks. Lackey is a red assed dick bird. Arrieta cheered on trump's arrival as much as anybody. And then of course you have David Ross, who everybody hates. Eh I hate Trump as much as anyone but Jake still seems alright to me. He kind of backed off his post-election tweets if I recall correctly. Maybe he did just to get the heat off him but he still strikes me as a good dude. But the rest of that list can indeed get fucked.

    I won't argue that, but I want them both on the team next year (barring a trade, etc.). I was just pushing back a bit on the idea that they should not pick up his option. Unless Theo's got something really good planned, I am sure we could use Cole next year too.

    Yeah he was never going to keep that up but I definitely want him back next year. We're going to have to develop or find some longer term options soon but we can just let this guy go when I think he'd be an at-worst reliable 5th starter. Lester Yu Hendrix Q Hamels Smyly Monty ???? Gonna need some new blood soon.

    I had to think about it for a while and almost threw in the towel but now I remember. EDIT: Also, it's good that this was cancelled. These guys shouldn't have to get off the couch today.

    Me too. Fortunately we caught them right as their season was collapsing. Still, 2 out of 3 is huge. And I’m just noticing we got only one hit. LOL. Oh well these guys killed it on this run.

    Need this death stretch of games to be over. Heyward and Schwarber will be plenty rested and I think Joe has done a pretty good job of getting people rest during it. Anyone would be dragging by now, though.

    Ugh there were so many bad moments I had forgot that horrible run by Sims. Rodgers was great but they absolutely handed them the game.

    Weather still looks dicey in DC on Thursday. Cubs should just win tonight and send the B-squad into the 'cane.

    Q is the spitting image of my boss at a previous job. He was kind of a douche but I’ve always liked Q and want him to be good for us.
