Didn't they also both sign the exact same 2/5 deal as well? I remember being livid that the Cubs got rid of DeRosa saying he cost too much money at $5m/per and turned around and gave it to Aaron "it's Miley!" Albeit it for 2 years instead of 1. 2009 were dark times. 2008 really was spirit-breaking. Hendry made some really bad moves that offseason but we actually did seem cursed so I kinda get it.
This is great. The pen has been stretched early and I think they’ve handled it pretty well. Now everyone can start sliding down. We have some nice arms who I don’t trust yet and could use some lower pressure reps. Hopefully they can add another arm or two.
Yeah they've been awful for a while. Makes me a little wary of this series. Friday and Saturday are night games so I'm guessing it'll be a lively atmosphere as far as Cardinals games go (BORING). Also the cup final in town.....
