    And Robel. And Giambrone would probably be better. The Cubs should acquire ex-Cardinals only if they're either just really good or used to be good and have an axe to grind with said Cardinals. That's it.

    Didn't they also both sign the exact same 2/5 deal as well? I remember being livid that the Cubs got rid of DeRosa saying he cost too much money at $5m/per and turned around and gave it to Aaron "it's Miley!" Albeit it for 2 years instead of 1. 2009 were dark times. 2008 really was spirit-breaking. Hendry made some really bad moves that offseason but we actually did seem cursed so I kinda get it.

    This is great. The pen has been stretched early and I think they’ve handled it pretty well. Now everyone can start sliding down. We have some nice arms who I don’t trust yet and could use some lower pressure reps. Hopefully they can add another arm or two.
