    Theriot sucks, but Ronny Sucks JUST AS MUCH. If he started for the whole year, I guarantee he'd be the NSBB mob-approved whipping boy instead. Bury either of them in the 8 hole, and lets get on with it.

Leaders in appearances Howry 78 Wuertz 73 Dempster 66 Leaders in RP IP Howry 81.1 Wuertz 72.1 Marmol 69.1 But hey, why pass up an opportunity to bash management. Hey, why not ignore the fact that Wuertz went from being the team's best reliever from 2005-2006, yet was demoted from setup duty to middle relief. He was the 5th RH option out of the pen when Wood joined the bullpen. And let's also ignore that the only reason he had more relief innings than Marmol, was because Carlos didn't start the year in the majors. He started as one of the setup men, and then got demoted because other pitchers were pitching better than him. Wood and Wuertz were used interchangably IMO after Wood came back. Marmol and Howry were ahead of Wuertz from June on, and a big part of that was because Marmol and Howry were much better pitchers than Wuertz from June on. Wuertz wasn't the best relief pitcher in 06 either. Howry's peripherals were a lot better. But you're getting in the way of rawaction's bashing...

    Wood will go down as my favorite Cub ever. I'm not sure why, but man-love for him is unrivaled. He just oozes class, desire, loyalty. Stud all around. I love Kerry Wood.

    Eyre kinda of turned things around last year, and relievers as we know are mostly a crapshoot. He's been good before and horrible before and good AND horrible in the same season. Eyre is not my personal concern.

    I couldn't tell from the camera angle for sure, but both me and my friend thought he had tears/welling up etc. Wouldn't be surprised since he's an emotional guy who wants to win more than anything, but just checking to see if other's saw that.

    Just like the Cubs would destroy the Dbacks? The Dbacks are for real, it will be a hell of a series. They aren't for real. Gimme a break. That series would go 5 games at best. LOL How in the hell can you say they arent for real after they have kicked the Cubs asses the 1st 2 games of this season. They won 90 games, and have completely dominated this series, so you gimme a break. The Cubs suck and backed into the playoffs. This D-Bags team sucks, and they'll get annihlited by the Rox.

    Lou has been outmanaged this series. No question about it. But he's not the reason we're down 2-0. He's an easy scapegoat, but people on this site give FAR too much importance to the manager. We're down 2-0 because Marmol sucked, our offense sucks, and Lilly sucked.
