Yeah, I caught that too. I wish there wasn't a lag with WGN Radio....I'd just turn my TV volume down and listen to Pat & Ron I just want to hear Pat say "Cubs playoff baseball is ON THE AIR". Goosebumps.

Yes, they can. Corey Patterson and HSC were in the dugout in 2003. Anyways, Fontenot made the playoff roster. Petition for Prior to hang out with Wood in the bullpen.....

Soto didn't go from the scrap heap (in alot of peoples eyes) to a stud in a season. Hence he wasn't included. :wink:

I mean with everything that was said about him at his signing, to where he is now in fans' eyes, he might be the target of man crushes that are only rivaled by Woody, Prior during his rookie year, Ryno or Gracie? Has this happened to any other Cub, more dramatically or quickly then Mark? GREAT signing Hendry.

My Kerry Wood Bias is the strongest on these boards, so opinion should mean little. I can't imagine the Cubs without Kerry Wood. He's pitched well out of the pen, and has seemingly gotten better and more comfortable everytime out with good velocity and his good curve. If we were gonna overpay for Glendon [expletive] Rusch then we can overpay for Woody. He was loyal to us, he's been a class act, and stand up guy. He took a pay cut and didn't even look elsewhere to make up for being so committed to the club that he pitched injured to help the cubs win. There's alot worse options in the pen.
