He had rest, he's fine. Everyone needs to stop panicking about marmol. He might be used often, but his pitch counts haven't been exorbitant.

Wasn't the deal Hendry, not Lou? Lou might have asked for a starting pitcher because of the 24 games in 23 days, but Hendry was the one that got him. -
You can say that for just about every player that puts on that damn uniform. There's a whole thread in Baseball Discussions filled with examples if you want to do some digging. I know, I created it :wink: I just wanted to reiterate my disbelief as to how freakin lucky the Cards are.

You know what's both funny and not funny. Look up Woody Williams' career stats on baseballreference.com and note that the only years he was good were with the pixie dust Cardinals. :lol: :arrow: :evil: Man do I HATE HATE HATE the cards.

Scoring a ton in the first, then having crappy ABs the rest of the game (sans DWard). sans JJones and Craig Monroe. Both were first pitch swings, but fair enough. That isn't bad if you're swinging at a good pitch :wink:

what a worthless point. It's a limited sample for all the pitchers and holds absolutely ZERO predicative power. anyways trachsel sucks and will continue to suck as the cubs lose 10-4. You're big on calling other's posts pointless and generally putting down other people's opinions. Consider this a warning, a vacation is just beyond the horizon. What was wrong with his post? He's right posting those records does hold ZERO predictive power. He didn't insult the poster. Oh and when did Fred start copyrighting his worthless stats?

I guess Ive been away from NSBB for awile, but has there really been that much Dempster bashing here lately? He blew his first save in like a month against the Dodgers and was being strung up. He's not the greatest, but he's not anywhere near as awful as some make him out to be. And when he succeed's it's "luck". It's just frustrating. That blown save vs the dodgers was Dempsters 1st blown save since June 10th. They were all luck.

they are a important innings. Mojo is right. Marmol>Howry>Dempster has been working as often as one can expect. Why mess with it?

some guys will never win with folks on this board. Also, I don't think Lou was unhappy, I think he was pumped. The man is crazy and doesn't smile in the first place so judging his happiness is tough.
