What do you think it would take?
-
Things that need to be done before the season: -Sign Suppan or trade for Penny -Trade Marmol for Church -Get another power hitting bench player -Get a better SS -Extend Z Things that I would like done but probably won't: -Bonds IMO Suppan or Penny are the only options for SP right now. Colletti is kinda crazy and would probably ask for Ramirez and Z, so Suppan might be the more realistic option. I'd gladly take Suppan on this team. Z/Suppan/Hill/Lilly/Miller-Prior is a solid rotation.

Unknown Righty Power Hitter Ward Blanco Theriot Pagan. We can't have ANY injuries. D'oh, how'd I forget about Theriot? Edit: I'd like to bring Nevin back still, even though Ward is basically doing what he's doing.

What happened to Ohman? Good point, I didn't even notice that. Replace Ohman for Dempster, I think Dempster is as good as gone (just a gut feeling). -

Cedeno won't be on the roster, Jones probably won't be, and Pagan I could see being left off. That would leave 21 players. -
It wouldn't be half bad if Prior were even the Prior of 2004-2005. No kidding. It would actually be pretty good.

If the rotation ends up being this: Zambrano Suppan OR Penny Hill Lilly Miller/Prior I would be content.

Cool, but how is he at pitching? ;) I dunno. I like Suppan, especially if he's going to sign for fewer years and less cash, but we would still need another similar-to-better pitcher to be serious about next year. That's where Penny comes in. Add Church for CF, and I really like this team.

Manny isn't going anywhere. Huh? Since when? Did I miss something? I should've stated it was just my opinion. I'm just tired of this Manny nonsense. This happens 3-4 times every year it seems and he never goes anywhere.
