    Holy crapola, I just saw this. This sucks for us! I don't know if I've ever seen a move like this in September for a team in the playoff race. Wow.

    Me neither. I'm not sure I'll feel comfortable about any game they play this year. I think we just played a rusty Peyton Manning and banged up Colts team and lucked out in the first game. I don't know. We were actually playing good against the Panthers. They weren't really dominating us in any aspect of the game until they got their running game going in the 2nd half. I still think we played the better game on the whole. We just pissed it away. Mistakes like those should be correctable.

    I don't really know, but I heard chucky is unhappy with Garcia right now so I'm guessing it's Griese. there was a report out yesterday (ESPN bottom line) that TB tried to trade garcia to SF, but SF said no. I think Gruden is done with JG Why? He's been pretty good for them, no? I wonder if there's bad blood there now because TB was going after Favre.

    I did have that thought when Erstad came up. Then I thought, "nah, they wouldn't do that." I actually never thought they would try it, because of the 5 run lead. It would have been pure entertainment to hear Brenly if they did that. He really went off on someone when he was a manager for doing it (can't remember who).

    What has changed? I was on here 3 years ago saying a new stadium wouldn't be bad and was thoroughly and completely lambasted for it by pretty much everyone on the board. I doubt that. There are plenty of us that would be ok with or even in favor of a new park. There's also a huge vocal segment that would be fiercely against it. I'm honestly not sure who makes up the majority, though. I dunno about a retractable roof though. I guess it can't hurt to have one, but it makes stadiums look more like monstrosities. I would love to have something that looks anything like my favorite ballpark (on TV, still haven't been there), which is SF's. Maybe just no one came to my defense at the time. Thanks! 8-)

    Ugh, I want to bask in Cubs glory but my other sports love is forcing me to also wallow in Bears mediocrity. I'm a man torn between two extremes. It's not a pretty sight.

    Seriously? Yes, seriously. The Cubs without Wrigley Field just wouldn't be the Cubs to me. Wow. Even more puzzling about this is the fact that you don't even live anywhere near Chicago... Even if you did, though, I still wouldn't get it. Lots of people feel that way though. It's not like that's an unusual opinion.

    At least give it to Forte so he has a shot of bouncing it to the outside when the Panthers crash the middle. That play call was horrible. I think I heard someone say they thought the play call was fine, too. Orton maybe? No it wasn't. IT WASN'T.

    Good thing MLB made a decision and was able to get the Astros out of town before the hurricane hit. Oh wait... This is all on McClane. Houston only has their idiot owner to blame for not making the decision in advance. They could and should have travelled on Friday, no problem. Yep. How's that stubbornness paying off now?

    http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=234855 I remember DJ criticized Hawk right on the air for that HR call. Not long afterwards he was joining in as if he always thought it was a great thing. We'll see. If Stone doesn't do it, that's a tacit admission that he thinks it's stupid. That's not going to sit well, IMO. If he does join in, then it's going to sound ridiculous. I think there's potential there for some tension between the two.

    Lots of excuses coming from the Astros this morning. But I suppose they've got a point. They apparently all had to go home, clean out their houses and fridges & stuff, then were delayed on the way to the airport, and wound up not getting into Milwaukee until a short time before the game. So I can understand that they went through a hellish day. Can't remember the GM's name, but he said Z's stuff looked very dominant so I guess he & Cecil don't totally agree on that point.
