  1. I don't know, font's facing more starters now and he's looking overmatched to me
  2. Seriously.
  3. :rotfl: Please let this happen Seriously, I agree -- I think the guy has paid his debt. He's served his jail sentence, did his time. I won't mind if he's re-instated.
  4. Listening to Mike & Mike debate whether it's a right or a privilege for Vick to play in the NFL this morning made my head hurt.
  5. He isnt going to be a HOFer, but Cleary has been a 40 point a season scorer for the Wings. He has also been very good as a playoff performer. He is a top 6 forward on the defending Stanley Cup champions. Not exactly a bad player. I know but, you think once Khabibulin wouldn't look like such fool against him, it's not like it's Ovechkin, Crosby or Datsuk he's facing. That first Cleary goal against Khabi was a softie, no question. I'm expecting my goaltender to make the save on that shot.
  6. Wow, yeah that would cause a few waves. And it doesn't seem to be all that far fetched now.
  7. he might have been kidding. weeks isn't really *that* important. he was a good player, a bit streaky, but certainly not on the level of importance of their top tier guys.
  8. Vick signing with Oakland in 3....2....1... Or with Minnesota if the Favre thing dies? Nah, after hiring Childress to clean things up?
  9. Alright, now there's like 6 or 7 people wearing Red Wings jerseys at work, and I'm getting it from all sides. Don't you dare let me down Hawks.
  10. The funny thing I didn't think about was that Harrison has already been to the White House when the Steelers won 3 years ago! Seriously, a black man goes to the Bush White House, but not the Obama White House? he didn't go the last time either. He's an equal opportunity snubber.
  11. Rickie's walk-up music was the coolest on the team, so when I visit the crew for a few games this year, I'm going to miss it. I always feel like running up to the booth and destroying the PA system when I hear Hart's "I'm a Country Boy!" blaring through the speakers. Ugh.
  12. who did that? brian anderson? uecker? sounds pretty appropriate Bill Schroeder wet himself with joy the day after the injruy game during the intro. Really? That sounds out of character for Schroeder. But I didn't hear it.
  13. It's a bad outing but I'm not going to throw him to the wolves until I see it happen with more frequency.
  14. I sat by and listened in a store to some Cards fan openly crowing about the Ramirez injury. Lets just say when I hear a Cards fan complain about Cub fans rooting for injuries, it smacks of big time hypocrisy.
  15. This feel-good story calls for a group internet hug.
  16. That is certainly an interesting take on the Favre-Packers situation. Certainly not based in facts, but interesting. What does the bolded part even mean??? The Packers front office pushed him out and were pretty darned vindictive in doing so. It was worse than how the Cubs front office throwing Sammy under the bus, because Favre hadn't committed the transgressions that Sammy had. If it is the case that he comes back with the Vikings and "unretires" it will be the case that he had to go through this whole "retiring" charade thanks to the Packers front office and the anti-trade clauses they put in when they traded him to the Jets. And Roast, in 15 years someone should tell you should retire from whatever job you have and that you can never do it again. I hope he's healthy and if he wants to play and someone wants him to play for him that he plays. Every athlete deserves that chance, even guys like Bonds. Your perspective & reality have irreconcilable differences.
  17. When it's all over, and he makes his way back home -- he'll remember these good times, and not the inevitable fall to earth that will come sooner or later. I'm happy for him. And he's having his spurt at a time that is very helpful for us.
  18. Personally I think it's a load of horsecrap. Stats like that don't take into account a load of unmeasurables that surround the loss of one of your best players.
  19. I know. I was thinking about Anaheim today. Everyone's saying "I want the Ducks!!" Think about what they are doing to Detroit right now. They're taking the Wings right to the wall. That's no pushover team. The 8 seed means nothing right now, they're pretty darn good.
  20. No... This goes beyond that. Joe Montana going to KC was a jonesing addict. This is anger, spite, revenge. This is "I'll do anything to service my vain desire to prove you wrong at any cost."
