  1. Oh YEAH! Wow, DirecTV's feed is like 30 seconds behind.
  2. Yeah, the PP equalization has begun already.
  3. Need to regroup in the 2nd now. Those PPs were very disorganized.
  4. you pick one. all i'm saying is that i'm not going to feel bad for a dirty player who got hurt when someone gave it back to them. especially a guy like havlat who runs and hides when it's time to pay for his dirty play. Bah, to heck with you.
  5. Yeah, we needed to be 3-0 after that, minumum. I sense a haunting coming.
  6. DAMN IT! Ozzie's given up so many prime rebounds. It should be 4-0 right now.
  7. I have no problem saying Brady is a great QB. Top 5 seems a bit much for me though. Look, most players owe at least some of their success to time & place. The fact is, Belichek runs a great ship. I don't think you'd get much argument from me saying Walsh also ran a great ship, and that Joe benefitted from that as well.
  8. Yeah, but I strongly suspect that in many other places Cassel would have been the equivalent of Shane Matthews. We'll see if that suspicion is correct or not in the upcoming year.
  9. I really think the lion's share of New England's success is Belichek, and that includes Brady. Maybe when Cassel doesn't light it up with the Chiefs like he did last year, a few people will begin to at least question how successful Brady would have been apart from Bill's loving embrace.
  10. If Cutler has a better career than McNabb in a Bears uni, you can count me one happy Bear fan.
  11. Can't really blame Brooks much for those comments. I echo the other sentiments in this thread: Cubs have been notoriously bad at managing their prospects, especially around the time BK was going through the system. It seems better now, to me.
  12. Ryan Theriot(amazingly) has been pretty good this year. .810 OPS and .273 EqA. If he does that all year, I'll be thrilled. Me too, but if you told me at the beginning of the year we'd be relying on Theriot to be one of the best infielders on the team, I'd say uh-oh. Definitely. Eventually, though, bats like Lee, Soto and Bradley will come around and with Theriot hitting like this our offense could become awesome again.
  13. BTW, note the hilarious sound effect they added on every pass he throws. :-)) It's the War Drums! You can't have a top QB without War Drums, come on now. 8-)
  14. Hillenmeyer is a net negative 100% of the time, IMO.
  16. He should have had hits in all 3 of his last at-bats tonight, and probably doubles on at least 2 of them. Thats what I'm trying to say I saw his ABs last night. Yeah, at this point it's just really frustrating to see this happen. It's pretty easy to see he has a good plan at the plate, at least on most ABs.
  17. Right now I'm mostly just marveling at how bad our infield looks. How did this happen so soon? We were trotting out Ramirez, Lee, DeRo most games last year. Theriot was the weak link, but covered to some degree by the good play of others. Now it's Lee, then junk, junk, junk. And Lee -- hopefully the arrow is pointing up now, but we've discussed ad nauseum his struggles. I mean, whoah. How quickly we've fallen.
  18. I found Lou's comment about Soriano to 2B to be interesting, but I get these visions of Sori botching all kinds of plays and making us look foolish. It's been a long time since he played there.
  19. Wasted 3 decent starts this series. I guess that's the silver lining, although I'm concerned that the offense gets going again just in time for the starts to be worse.
  20. So pay it then. I don't think I can stomach seeing DeRo in a Crew uniform this soon. It's not our fault Jimbo paid stupid money for an obviously bad sign in Miles. Now pony up to get rid of the bum.
  21. Yeah, a couple more weeks playing like we are right now and Peavy would nix a deal to the Cubs too.
  22. It could just be that the talent level isn't all that high...
  23. Daily Herald on Cutler's first OTA practice with the Bears: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=294988
  24. That would be great.
  25. Sean gets a start, and they'll lose 2-1. Sean gets the blame for giving up the 2nd run, goes back to LOOGY duty. Oh yes, you know it's possible.
