    Man, I am in awe of Niemi right now. That was so much fun to watch.

    I'll add Silva to that sentiment too. If someone had told me all 3 of those guys would be producing at a high level, I would have thought the Cubs would be having a hell of a hot start. Baseball is a strange game indeed.

    Sunday seems like it is so far away :( You mean I've got to watch the Cubs all this time, waiting for the Hawks? Oh my GOD.

    I actually can see the NJ thing. They can sign 2 max FAs, which means Lebron can team up with whoever he wants. It would be like plopping an instant title contender from absolutely nowhere into NJ -- ala Boston a few years ago. I can imagine that would be very attractive to Lebron, because he would get to choose more pieces. Hand-pick his surrounding cast.

    Yeah, it's pretty cool to take a step back and look at how far the Hawks have come from just a few years ago, when they weren't even worth watching. Back in those days it would have been a joke to think they could even hang on the same ice as a team like the Sharks. Now they are in a do-or-die series with the Western Conference's best, and with a legitimate shot, too. We've talked about it plenty here, but man -- what a turnaround the Hawks are as an organization. It's pretty unbelievable.

    Tonight's CLE/BOS game is more interesting to me now.

    This is because for over a decade nobody cared about the Hawks, and now they do. They should probably keep their mouth shut until they learn more, but I welcome the non-core fans back. Heck, I'm one of them, unapologetically. I'm still learning about the game. Most of the time my game commentary consists of "OOh! Hit that guy! Um.......get the puck back! Stop sucking! Yes!" Pretty low-brow, un-knowlegeable stuff. I don't see a problem with fans who aren't knowledgeable deciding they want to get involved now that the Hawks are better. They just don't know much about hockey yet. That will improve over time. But again, I agree they should probably think before they yell out embarrassing stuff.

    The sad thing is, I actually enjoyed that song when I only had to hear it maybe once a year. Now? It makes me want to blow up the PA system. Even worse, one of my friends thinks it's the greatest thing in the world.

    I could have sworn there's a video of this happening out there somewhere. Maybe I dreamed it because of how awesome it sounds. He did it because he hates losing to the Steelers. What did he get for his trouble? BODY SLAMMED BY A STEELER. LMAO, classic.

    In fairness, reading the press out of Vancouver today, and in recent days, I don't think they're buying that crap anymore. They were before -- blaming refs, big buff's play, some kind of perceived unfairness on the part of the Hawks. But lately I've been reading more statements along the lines of Luongo just blowing it, and the composure of the team just not holding up -- more self-examination. So I think Bobby Lu continues with that junk at his own risk. The home folk aren't happy with him and his team's performance right now.

    I'm not sure about his contract situation, but if I was Vancouver I'd think about a coaching change... Too much talent on that team to implode at home 0-3 in a huge playoff series for that town and those fans. They aren't getting rid of Luongo, probably not breaking up the Sedins. You can make the case that the internals on that team are not strong, which I would think tends to point at the coach... So claim the Canucks are still better all you want, Bobby. You're part of that team too, and looking at it from the outside, you just didn't measure up to Q.

    Up 3-1, you run the risk of hitting game 7 with all the momentum against you if you drop 2. That's the additional pressure I feel. Hawks goal!!

    There's only 2 types of Cub fans. Those who are bitter and those who eventually will be bitter. Go Hawks :)

    Seriously? Whoops, looks like I misread Jersey's post. But yes -- actually I don't see why anyone should be off the table. Taking him off the table has nothing to do with it, you can't trade a pitcher with a huge contract for any sort of value when you handling him the way the Cubs are handling Zambrano. Teams won't understand that Z is still strong starter material just because Lou decided to put him in the pen? I don't buy that.

    Maybe they can just bring up another youngster for a 6 RBI first game.
