  1. Grabow's ideal role is as the reliever brought in after injury to face a junky hitter w/ 2 outs. I'm confident he can succeed.
  2. Of course it's Grabow. Could it have been anyone else?
  3. uuuggh, Lawrence Holmes is busy drumming up calls tonight by declaring the WCF over.
  4. I think their magic has run its course. Philly looks like the better team to me.
  5. What a douche. His first line invalidates his whole opinion. He's lived in Chicago for 5 years. Mission accomplished: he laid a big turd on his blog and generated traffic. Nothing to see here.
  6. i love it when you have the other team believing that yelling and screaming and fighting each other and throwing skates and equipment in the locker room is somehow cathartic and will make them play better. the sharks may well win the series, but it won't be because of some locker room tantrum. Agreed. If they do come back and win, it will be because they made the right adjustments and started playing better, not because they got in each other's faces and brow beat players who weren't performing.
  7. This team has me dancing :stickman:
  8. That seemed like a bad, meaningless penalty to commit leading to the Sharks goal. I hope that is just an isolated gaff. We really did not need to hand them such an opportunity, but we did.
  9. I can't wrap my mind about the Grabow thing, with Marshall just sitting there.
  10. If I owned that house, I might not ever even know that some of the rooms exist. People would be like, "what's down this way?" And I would say, "dunno. let's find out." "You've lived here for 3 years!!"
  11. I guess that could be. I don't know enough to say for sure, but it seems like "keeping the puck up" is more of a general guideline that helps against any goalie. Most guys seem to get those leg blockers down on the ice pretty quickly.
  12. The guest house on that thing looks like it is 3 times the size of my house.
  13. I'm starting to get to the point where I start to get worried about the home games. I was reading how the players say they try to get too cute at home, trying to put on a show for the fans. I don't know if I buy that. I think it's more or less just a small sample size. But it is weird so see them outscored so far at home in the playoffs 20-15(17-14 without empty nets) I wonder...do they take more penalties at home? Maybe they're just too jacked up and play less disciplined? Could be. I feel like it is easier to start winning at home though, rather than be getting beat on the road and have to try to turn that around.
  14. These Blackhawks are road dawgs. That makes me feel more confident for some reason. Teams count on their home ice being there for them -- for better or worse. They really can't count on that vs. the Hawks, because they'll come in and beat you in front of your home folk regardless of how raucous and loud they are. Now if we can just shore up our own home ice difficulties...
  15. Hey Lou, that's what a good lefty out of the pen looks like.
  16. Well, at least they're booing a guy who struck out twice and GIDP twice. Could be worse. Actually I was talking about them boo'ing Betancourt for throwing to 1st base to keep Castro close Fans always boo when an opposing pitcher throws to first .... and I have no idea why. Never understood it either, it really is ignorant I think most know the pitcher has to employ his strategy. It's an excuse to boo the opposing team, so they boo. I've got no problem with it
  17. I highly recommend scoring the winning run right here
  18. in my world even scouts are sometimes wrong
  19. Bout as much as can be expected from Marmol. Thanks, Grabow.
