  1. Even my untrained hockey eye can see that :)
  2. People who didn't regard Campbell as one of our best players were being stupid because he's overpaid. When a guy is worth $5 million and gets $7 million instead, they start acting like he's worthless. Campbell is a first-pairing defenseman on most teams and having him on the second pairing was a very good strength for us. In terms of importance, I'd place him roughly equal with Sharp, behind Keith, Toews, Kane, Hossa and Seabrook. OK. I guess we're about to find out if he was real important.........whether we like it or not.
  3. I wouldn't mind seeing OSU win it because it would be something different. But I feel like they need to bail themselves out of trouble too often for me to think they'll be able to do it against better teams.
  4. That's pretty crazy. I'm getting visions of Cardinal fan riots in downtown St. Louis.
  5. I can see why someone might think that about Theriot. But I don't think the Cubs will go down the "Hinrich" road. They did just win arby against Theriot. So they weren't willing to just cave in to his demands. I think Theriot is relegated to the bench or gone in the next couple years, maybe sooner.
  6. Please, just anybody but Kansas. That's all I ask.
  7. Campbell was never regarded as one of our best players though. People have complained about his play quite a bit. I don't see how losing him is crushing to us. It can be overcome.
  8. It probably will take him a few starts, though how many is anyone's guess.
  9. I find it interesting that a mere 3 years ago nobody even cared what the Blackhawks were doing, and now they're tearing their hair out because there might be a few obstacles and good teams in our way to getting to the Stanley Cup finals. Chicago sports is fun 8-)
  10. Crap! I spoke too soon!! Crapity Crap Crap!
  11. Good to see the Hawks come back strong after yesterday's late disappointment. Now they just need to seal the deal.
  12. I can't blame him for arguing for his best player to not be ejected. Fro a purely hockey fan perspective, this game became less interesting once Ovechkin was kicked out. I would expect Q to at least put forth an argument if it was a Blackhawk.
  13. I rarely hear that conversation because trying to pinpoint a single player, out of all the positions and eras of football, who is the best ever is pretty much impossible to do. I hear more on which player of a certain position was the greatest. Easier to compare skill sets.
  14. mesothelioma lawyers are really fond of billboards. at least in wisconsin. Billboards, lame TV commercials, etc. But it's an extremely lucrative business for them. It's a very easy disease to tie to an environmental cause. Makes it a more winnable case. I do get tired of the commercials though. I think 99% of the people know by now if they get mesothelioma they should seek legal advice.
  15. I don't believe these 3 days off really amount to much in the bigger picture. They were struggling even with Deng & Rose playing. I hope they don't rush either back to the court at this point. To me it's all about 2010-2011 now. Deng & Rose should only play if they are absolutely 100%
  16. Yeah, it's not about the height necessarily. It's about being able to jump in stride, which is what Rose will do (and others). I don't think Howard is dirty but it would be nice to see the Bulls do a hard foul or two in return. Nothing that would get you thrown out or anything -- just let them know that we noticed and that they can expect the same on the other end of the floor.
  17. God. Rose hurt now too? Can we just shut the whole team down until next year?
  18. I just flipped it on to confirm that we are, indeed, still bad. Think I'll head off to less painful pursuits.
  19. Tonight we get to take our injured, bad basketball butts to Orlando to get plastered in front of a national audience. Fun.
  20. Soul didn't write that.
  21. I really think you should stop obsessing over Milton Bradley. Whatever. You first. I'm not obsessing, I'm wishing him the best in his future endeavors, hopeful he can get past his upsetting season in Chicago, and move on to live a happy productive life. You're wishing him dead. Now look who is being ridiculous.
  22. I really think you should stop obsessing over Milton Bradley. Whatever. You first.
  23. Regarding Tyrus....Bulls and Tyrus started out the season 2-2, Tyrus is hurt, Bulls go 10-15, Tyrus comes back, Bulls go 15-8, Tyrus leaves again, Bulls go 4-7 so far. Again its hard to come out and say he's the reason considering how sporatic his PT was, and hundreds of other variables at play, but it's a stat so take it for what it's worth It's far too selective a stat. Isn't when the Bulls went 15-8 also basically lining up with when Rose started playing at full strength? Yeah, I do remember at around the time Tyrus came back we starting winning more, but it's hard to say that Tyrus was the primary reason.
