  1. and bears fans are like "omg the pats lost" I certainly am. Can't really believe it. 60 minutes just had a report on this guy who has won millions & millions betting on football. I wonder if he had the Jets. I wonder if he had the Seahawks last week. I freely admit it. I can no more predict football than I can climb Mt. Everest.
  2. This just proves whatever I say is going to happen in the NFL, the opposite happens. Packers will win next week.
  3. Pats fans are like "b-but, we're the Patriots. This is Brady!"
  4. Yeah, wow. Too damn bad huh? The 20 people who wanted Cleveland/Carolina in the Super Bowl this year are real disappointed too, man.
  5. Both the Jets and Steelers are obnoxious. It's obnoxious vs. obnoxious. Something's gotta give, man.
  6. Done. Both #1 seeds, OUT. A first round bye is starting to look more like a death sentence these days than an advantage.
  7. I'm pretty interested in the post game presser, and even better: the inevitable trash-talk war that is coming between the Jets & Steelers next week.
  8. This one unfolded.....differently....than I expected :)
  9. Finally. Now. Let's get every pundit on the planet to pick the Packers and disrespect the Bears. We can use every bit of motivation and bulletin board piece of material we can get.
  10. No more cute stuff, Martz. You proved you'll throw any time, any where. Time to just run out the clock.
  11. OK, how about finishing the game now? Thanks.
  12. How so? Are you from Wisconsin? So if you say you're a Packers fan, you can all of a sudden just switch allegiances whenever you want? I didn't think it worked that way. I don't know why it's such a big deal that there are Packer fans who are also Cub fans. It was split pretty evenly between Packer and Bear fans when I was growing up. I honestly don't know what to make of you guys. But I admit there are...several...of you out there :) When you're rooting for the Cubs most people around you are actually hostile to your football fandom. And when you're rooting for the Pack, most of your fellow Packer fans hate your baseball fandom. It just would feel very, very weird to me. It's really not too bad. I moved around a lot as a kid, but like I said I was exposed to the Cubs at an early age. So I always liked the Cubs. When we finally settled in Chicago the Bears were awful, and none of my classmates really cared. 2001 was the year when everything changed and people started being hostile towards me during football seasons. I've grown used to it, and now it really doesn't phase me. You've got good reason. My uncle admitted to me that he abandoned the Bears for the Packers, as an adult, because he liked Bart Starr and was pissed at George Halas. I can see drawing down your support for the team when they suck, ala Blackhawks fans, but choosing another team? That's bizarre, and unfathomable, to me.
  13. Well, it's getting started early. This game really will be armageddon. It's going to be pretty amazing.
  14. Well, I'm sure all you'll hear is how the Seahawks didn't belong in the playoffs in the first place so the Bears win means nothing. Never mind that this morning the story was how much they've improved throughout the year, and how their win over the defending Super Bowl champs proves they belonged. And I also can't wait to hear the next set of bullcrap reasons why Cutler is still a crappy QB.

I don't see how liking one team in one sport has any bearing on your fandom of another team in another sport. Intellectually I'm sure you're right. Emotionally I feel like it would be very strange for me.

  17. I don't know man. Let them compete. It's football.
  18. Glad we have a big lead because that is just so stupid it's beyond comprehension.
  19. Yeah they're doing the full deal on him. I do hope we get a report after the game that both of those guys are OK.
  20. I don't really know. It looked like Davis' legs gave way nicely to minimize the impact on him. But I don't know.
  21. Opportunities to put the screws to this thing are happening. Just take one of them, plz.
  22. Why shut down? 21 points is not insurmountable in this league. Run the full deal. Stop dumbing everything down.
  23. Matt Flynn got in-game playoff experience yesterday. I don't see why not. Todd Collins doesn't need playoff experience. If Cutler gets hurt and can't play, we go wild cat the rest of the game or else just forefit rather than deal with the pain of the Todd Collins experience in a playoff game. It's a 21 point lead but I wouldn't even entertain this until the 4th quarter. They need to complete the deal.
  24. who knows. you could clip that and put it in a beer commercial.
  25. Yes. Clearly not as tight on O now. Let's just get to halftime.
