  1. yeah i think he has sufficiently embarrassed himself and tarnished his legacy now. Which would mean the Bears wind up being the team to see him off. Marvelous.
  2. yup. right around that induction ceremony, all will suddenly be forgiven.
  3. All anyone has been talking about in the NFC is Rodgers and how great he is. That's just a dumb comment. Is he drunk?
  4. No, unlike Packer fans, we don't automatically post homeristic stuff from our own players and journalists.
  5. Derrick Brooks picked the Bears this morning. Said he knows Lovie's system and it is the best one out there to slow the Packers' style of offense down. For WiW.
  6. If the Bears lose on Sunday, I will readily and happily root for the Packers. /Dad is a Packers fan, Mom is a Bears fan, started following the Bears more after joining here, but still like both. Abomination. Unholy vile spawn of Baphomet. Choose your team.
  7. 3:1 margin is not enough to stop the Kuhn chants, dammit.
  8. The Bears were beatable yesterday, but not by a team as awful as the Seahawks Cutler didn't throw any INTs, and the Bears' D shut down Lynch completely. I don't know. Sure, any team is beatable. But I think he's still talking in the global sense -- he's saying the Bears suck in general, so the Seahawks should have been able to beat us because they don't suck. Which is just more idiocy coming from that town. I'm not sure what part of being a 7-9 team in a horrible division isn't clicking with some of those folks. They were fortunate to even be in the playoffs. Yes, they had a nice home win against New Orleans. I give them full marks for that. But now they just sound stupid. The Bears are clearly a superior team to that bunch. It's not even particularly close.
  9. Packers are just better. No need to prepare. No need to think, even. Just show up and win automatically. It's simple. Sleeeeeep.
  10. What the hell? Are Seahawks fans the most classless fans in the NFL? It was clear shortly after the game started that Seattle had no chance. Why not accept the loss and realize they weren't really good enough to be playing a divisional playoff game in the first place? I don't know why just because a team beats the defending SB champs amidst a huge home-field advantage and had beaten their next opponent in the regular season means they're entitled to go to the SB. It doesn't work that way. LOL, I think it's funny. He must have had the volume turned down too because the announcing crew was noting Cutler's success running the ball this year. Wait a minute, this can't be happening! Cutler isn't fitting into my preconceived notion!?!
  11. It has nothing to do with hating the Packers. It has to do with continuing with something that has been successful more often than not for the season. Ah, so superstition? No, it has to do with hating the Packers. WE HATE YOU!!
  12. I don't know. It's really annoying. There's this entire group of people staying quiet right now. And when Jay throws his next INT, out will come the "bad Jay" crap again. Please give it a rest. Permanently.
  13. Yeah it looks to me like he does better in his current role.
  14. It's been way too long since he went veggie for it to be that. He definitely changed something else. Either that or wasn't being entirely truthful about his diet, and actually went full vegetarian this offseason. I'm sure we'll get the story at some point. That's pretty incredible. Good for him.
  15. It looks like Atlanta sent quite a few DBs at Rodgers, and he was able to avoid them and burn them. I wonder if the Bears will take a more vanilla, containment approach. Keep the plays in front of them, rush 4 guys on most downs. Maybe a few creative blitzes but not many. They've done well with this approach. I just don't think you give Rodgers a chance at open areas of the field and uncovered receivers becuase you're trying to nail him with DBs/LBs. He can take advantage of that, like other great QBs. And he can avoid the rush. Keeping the Packers more in the 20 point range will be key, I think.
  16. Yep. I've changed my mind. I'm not rooting for the Jets or the Steelers. I'm rooting for the anger and hostility to boil over so I can pop some corn, sit back, and enjoy the fun.
  17. Because erik retains thread authorship? Damn straight. Poor erik :)
  18. I think it's just matchups + scheme. Seattle didn't work with the same scheme as last time, and the basic matchups didn't favor them like they figured it would. I think it's pretty clear the Packers will be a much larger challenge for the Bears in terms of pass rush. But, at least they've got plenty of tape to review.
  19. I'm rooting for a mega trash talk war that causes Goodell to hold a press conference warning players & coaches to knock it off or face the consequences.
  20. Tickets to the game will be tracked with a special "fan sensing" mechanism. Hence, Bear fans who sell their tickets to Packer fans will have their names & addresses stored in a database for future reference.
  21. Thats quite possibly the worst potential SB match up. God I hope the Bears and Jets win, but the thought of Sanchez winning a SB also sucks. Its like Trent [expletive] Dilfer winning the SB. Much worse than Dilfer winning it. Dilfer won it and they were so impressed they fired him. Sanchez will be hailed as the second coming of Namath. You'll never hear the end of it. But I'm still rooting for the Jets. I'm holding my nose, and rooting for the Jets.
  22. *NOW* the stage is set for Armageddon by the Lake. Soldier Field. Cold winter. All out war.
  23. The answer to your real question is no. Packer receivers will not have the kind of traction they had in Atlanta.
  24. I'm rootin' foot fetish over sleezy dude, too.
  25. Heck yeah. That's 3 of the 4 points available this weekend. I'll take that. Just picked up the highlights on the NHL network. What a [expletive] move by Bolland. Bickell had a couple nice plays too.
