  1. I mean it was a complete, overt shove by Tate. He whines on that? Would have been declined, but sheesh. Quit whining for penalties on every damn play. And yes, I say the same thing if the Bears do it. I hate that. Stop whining and play football.
  2. What a bounce, LOL.
  3. Yikes, that'll put a damper on this drive won't it.
  4. Hehehe....well, it's not a bad thing to switch to conservative mode given the conditions and the lead. I'd like to see a Hester return too but no big turnover is the hidden benefit.
  5. Keep on keeping on, Mr. Jay. Wow, 21-0. Looking great right now!
  6. Wait. Taylor just made a cut? Not possible.
  7. Watched a large lead evaporate yesterday against a good defense, so not taking anything for granted here. Nice to be up early.
  8. Just want to say -- gutsy call by Lovie. I think it is overstated that he never takes chances.
  9. Yeah, Moose not having a real good game so far. That didn't confirm Carroll's decision to punt. The Bears successfully moved it out from the end zone and have now flipped FP back in their favor. He should have gone for it. But whatever.
  10. Whew. Out from the shadow of the end zone.
  11. OK, it's a pretty basic strategy to make a defense defend more of the field, and that's not really a weakness of the Bears D.
  12. Oh yeah, I see that now. Head first on to the frozen turf. Ouch. Hope this is just a precaution.
  13. I love the replay of that. Cutler is just standing there watching the pass -- there it is, I just threw it, it's on target. Catch it and take it in, big guy. And he did :) Nice start. Let's not let these guys answer, please. Too many games start with one team doing something good and then the other team just takes over.
  14. I figured he would.
  15. I'm trying to imagine the reaction from both Chicago and St. Louis if the Cubs somehow managed to sign Pujols. It would be solidly in the "shock and awe" category.
  16. No offense but I think Rodgers and Rivers might be ahead of Brees now. Admittedly, Brees could easily bounce back next season. I can agree with that. Wouldn't you put Brady ahead of Manning at this point? Manning struggled a bit during the season at times. Yes, he had no help, but Brady seemed to be at his peak even though his receiving options are also less than elite. I'd go: Brady Manning Rodgers Brees Rivers
  17. what the hell do the Bears deserve? they've seemingly played virtually every team with their 2nd, 3rd string QBs. if not for some weird process rule, they'd have missed the playoffs altogether. they're not 7-9 after the regular season
  18. It's disturbing that they gave up another lead in the 3rd period. I guess I'm just numb to it at this point. If they have a lead in the 3rd period, the other team is going to close the gap, or come back completely. Just count on it, and hope they can do enough to overcome it. Anyway, as dex said they got a point on the road so it wasn't all bad. The Preds goalie looks really good to me.
  19. I don't think the Bears are looking past the Seahawks, that's what is important. But yea -- we aren't playing the Packers this week. All I care about is this week.
  20. Well that's good. I know what your dog looks like, but not you. Maybe put your Alexander jersey on your dog.
  21. Here's hoping he won't. Oh goodie. I'll be sure to mentally picture that as you post in here today, thanks. Sure, if you're a fan of things that don't deserve stuff getting it anyway.
  22. GB/SEA wouldn't be appointment TV like GB/CHI would be, but many people like to root for the underdog (I know I do, anyway). There's probably a lot of split feelings out there about this game.
  23. Sounds good. Last time around, we dropped Cutler back constantly, couldn't protect, gave up 6 sacks. Use Forte. Use the short drop passing game + screens. Agreed on the defense. This is another precious opportunity for some of our aging veterans who are running out of time, frankly. If they want another bite at the apple, today is a good time to wheel out the A game.
  24. You know I forgot to mention something the other day. Not only would it be crazy as all hell that the Packers & Seahawks play for the NFC title (if that were to happen). But the game would be played in Seattle. There's just something so wrong about that. Please Bears, win. For the networks, for Bears fans, for NFL fans everywhere......and for the very foundations of the known universe. Please don't lose to this team.
  25. Man, I'm glad I got to see those final few minutes. That was awesome.
