    Nothing like waking up to baseball. :D Unfortunately, I have to go to school tomorrow, so I'll miss it. :( On the other hand, I have been coughing a ton this week.... It's written in the sky: if you take sick time off, they'll suck and make you wish you hadn't.

    Nice to see the Cards implode, but couldn't they at least beat the Brewers and help the Cubs? Wait a minute, am I trying to convince myself that the Cubs actually have a shot at this? Hehe, yeah I'm still hoping the Crew will slow down over the Summer. I hope no one minds a little rain delay hijack of the Cubs thread: Crew take the lead on a Jenkins single.     I see Warren beat me. OK. Sort of seems to contradict the 4.10 rule though, but as long as they aren't taking Cub runs off the board I'm cool with it.

    after this half inning I'd rather it happen now, but if you say so don't they have to play the bottom half to make it official? I thought it was just 5 complete innings for an official game? Yes, but if losing, doesn't the home team need one last AB? Really? So what happens then, we go back to when the Pirates were winning? :shock:

    LOL, Sleezak is such a tool. She's like that mother-in-law you wish didn't exist, who's voice sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard and just won't quit.

    Eh? If anything I expect Dez to be happy we finally drafted another TE. He's been relied on for everything for far too long. Clark has also hinted that he might not want to play for too much longer, and just watching him he seems like the kind of guy who genuinely wants to leave the Bears in good shape.

    I still want to wait a bit to see if they'll fall back to earth. They look real good right now though. Seems like that first series when we beat them 2/3 was the most anyone's been able to get under their skin all month.

    I agree with others who have already said that it's kind of pointless to think Hancock is somehow in more trouble because he might have been drinking. The guy is already dead, it can't get any worse now. The best we can do is make sure people know drinking and driving is still an issue, and if it true he was drinking, then maybe his example will help save some else's life.

    Eh? That's un-American. Un-American and unfathomable. But true. Wendy's was a different deal. The guy who owned all of them around here stopped paying his taxes or something and they all shut down. The same guy owned the Wendy's up in Bloomington/Normal. And St. Louis might not have Dunkin Donuts, but they DO have Krispy Kreme Ahhhh. Seems like I'm the only guy left on the planet who still prefers Dunkin Donuts

    that's the only pick i don't like, but i've learned to trust jerry. But do you know anything about him? Pretty hard to be critical of these small school guys. I've never seen him play. Edit: Jerry said that Payne has "John Lynch" type skills. Just from scouting reports I've read...has good hands, quick, good against the run, but needs to work on fundamentals, not a very good tackler, plays slow, isn't very instinctive, struggles in coverage... I think there were more athletic, more "football-smart" players available at that pick, but I'll hold judgment for now. He does sound like Chris Harris.
