The game thread attackers are back. Howry hasn't given up an earned run since mid April before today, he's far from awful. But he was awful today... BS. I don't care what his line says, Howry's been shaky as hell every time I've seen him this year. Don't give me this crap. You've all been watching the games. Howry barely escapes with his life every time he goes out there. He's total junk. Its not crap, his line is what matters in most cases. He's sucked today, but he's far from terrible. I realize its mostly game thread rantings, but have some perspective. How many runs have scored when Howry's been in the game? Relief pitchers aren't just brought in to make sure they don't give up runs except those already on base, you know. They're expected to hold runners who they inherit, as well. Look, I was just on a game thread a few days back going over this same thing, and Howry was sucking again. The argument was exactly the same. "He sucks today, but he's been good." So how many times does he get to use that excuse? I'd just like to know. Because seriously, every single time I see him he struggles like hell. Every single time.
