I was thinking last night that Englehardt might make a decent power bat off the bench. That could just be because we're so devoid of bench power, though.

That Tennessee/OK St game is going to be really tough. Of course, the winner will just get demolished by Pitt anyway . . .

Honestly, I don't see there being a chance Baltimore is interested. Cutler is more proven than Flacco, but after leading them to the postseason (one game shy of the Super Bowl) and with there not being a coaching change of any sort (offensively), I don't think Baltimore would consider the idea of trading Flacco and a high pick or two for Cutler. I don't think they'd trade Flacco AND a high pick. But I think they would entertain the idea. Though, they don't have the money or picks to pull it off. If they could do Flacco for Cutler straight up, they might have some interest, but that's unlikely enough that I don't think they risk even a call to check.

I like the pick, myself. If Rosenfels is really going to be the QB, he'll need all the weapons he can get. Berrian, Williams and Sidney Rice is a good core of receivers. I PMd Vanilla Ice.

Well, that was a terrible ending. Such a great game most of the way through, and then the refs take complete control at the end. That's no excuse though. As ya'll said, Tennessee played really, really stupid in the final seconds - and then missed an open three to tie in the final second. Congrats to Mississippi State, but there were about 3-4 awful calls (both ways) at the end.

Weis PM'd me, saying he'd be out of town until Sunday and gave me a list of players he wanted. Seeing that the first player is still there, I'll go ahead and announce weis' pick. So, with the 50th pick in the draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select QB from Kansas State, Josh Freeman. IMB! and vance are now on the clock with Dallas' first pick. I'll PM them.

"MPC" is an account newer account i had to open because my other one was frozen out for awhile. i signed up for the mock draft under that name. the one i'm using now is the original account and i just found it works again a week or two ago. Oh wow, I had no idea. I'll make sure to PM this account next time you're up then.

If I had to guess, I'd think you'll be up sometime Sunday - perhaps toward the evening hours. MPC may take a while, he hasn't even logged in for a while. The Bears and Bucs picks should go quickly, though, and I don't think we'll have long hold ups with the Cowboys and Eagles either. If you think you'll be gone, though, you can shoot me your top 3-5 selections and I'll announce the pick if the need is there.

I'll make the pick I guess, since there's still no sign of ELCABALLO. The Pats don't have much depth at TE, as Ben Watson is in the final year of his deal and the only other TE on their roster is Chris Baker - a blocker, but not a receiver. Currently on the board is still a great receiving TE who should fit in well with the spread out Patriot offense. They think about taking a guard here, but the depth at that position is strong enough to wait on. So, with the 47th pick in the draft, the Patriots select TE Jared Cook from South Carolina. His biggest drawbacks have been supposed lack of effort and not blocking well - the Pats don't care about the former and can correct the latter. MPC and the Denver Broncos are now on the clock. I will PM him.

Gus is always an improvement, but I've really liked Sean McDonough tonight. oh i think he's been great. i was just reminded of gus when he yelled "OFF THE BENCH!!" i can only imagine what gus would've been like during these OTs I can't wait for Gus in the tournament. It'll be awesome. i would kill someone just to have it so Gus is doing Mizzou's opening game. No, he needs to do all Tennessee games until they're out. Then he can switch to Mizzou.

well depth would absolutely be an advangtage. i cant imagine playing tomorrow. i remember as a high schooler, with 32 min games, i hated back to back games. i even hated practice the next day. Yeah, I can't imagine either of these teams playing well tomorrow. They're gonna be exhausted.
