  1. Either, though, I've been identifying the Titans' needs as I see them and then finding players Mike Reinfeldt (Titans GM) would likely take to fill that need. Hope that helps.
  2. Based on poster's reactions, it seems like he's doing a pretty good job though. Thanks. I hate making all the picks, but I don't want it to start dragging too much either.
  3. I think theres a good chance it will happen with a new owner on board. He wouldn't have the political BS past with Sammy. Plus they may wait until he is in the Hall. Also worth noting, it is occupied for the next three years. Who has it now? Bradley, I'm pretty sure.
  4. Ok, 24 hours and still no ELCABALLO so we're moving on, I guess. The Pats have filled needs at CB, LB and TE so far, but still have a bit of an aging offensive line. Every starter will be 30 or older this year and most of the reserves are in their late 20s. So, without very many other needs out there, the Pats will add a little young depth to the offensive line here. So, the Patriots select OG Andy Levitre from Oregon State. Levitre is big and physical and is capable of playing both guard and center if needed. He could potentially help relatively quickly if needed, but more than anything, he makes the line a bit younger. Carolina and Andy are now on the clock. I'll PM him.
  5. The Titans signed return man Mark Jones today. Personally, I really like this move. Jones doesn't do anything but return kicks and punts, but he does that well (at least as well as Carr did, if not better) and the Titans are the type of team that can find a lot of value in filling a roster spot with a guy who only returns punts and kicks. After getting turned down by Justin Miller and Jarrett Bush, it's nice to net Jones.
  6. I almost corrected you by bringing up DeRosa, but then I remembered the truth. :(
  7. And Davey Johnson made the right call - Dunn is starting at first and DeRo playing in left. It's raining very hard, though, and there's question whether the game will get in or not. If not, they say the seeding for the semis will be decided by a coin toss.
  8. Youkilis is out for the remainder of the WBC and MLB Networks guys are saying DeRo may be the first base replacement (for now). They also mentioned Dunn may move to first.
  9. Yeah, I'm not necessarily worried about them right now, but the fact that he's still injured might raise some flags to watch his progression. Williams holding him out tomorrow night may be all he needs, but it's worth watching, I think.
  10. The Ravens cut Samari Rolle in order to make room for Chris Carr.
  11. If that's all it is, then this isn't a story. My thought was that if he wasn't healthy enough to play now, how healthy will he be for later games? I agree the safest thing to do is to not play Lawson against Radford, though.
  12. This may have been posted elsewhere, but I haven't seen it.
  13. Nice pick. I just woke up after driving from Atlanta on 30 minutes sleep....I vaguely remembered something about this. Thanks. I actually really wasn't sure who they might go with and nearly decided on Sen'Derrick Marks - then I remembered the Dolphins now run a 3-4 and he definitely wouldn't fit that. I thought about Fili Moala as well, but his tendency to slack off made me doubt Parcells/Sparano's interest. That's when I noticed the lack of OLB depth and went with Barwin.
  14. I went ahead and added the third round draft order to the first post of the thread. The order came off NFL.com this time, so hopefully it'll be accurate, but if anybody sees anything awry with it, let me know and I'll fix it. As with the first round, once we get through the second round, I'll put it in spoiler tags to shorten the page length.
  15. Which almost ensures I won't take one with the Titans' pick. Well if you hadn't insisted on taking Barwin for the Fins, I would have left Robiskie for you! :) Honestly, though I like him, I'm not sure I would have taken Robiskie if he was there. I'm looking at a couple other players I like better right now. If they're gone, he might have crept up there.
  16. Which almost ensures I won't take one with the Titans' pick.
  17. I like Robiskie a lot more than most seem to. Eh I'm not crazy about him, but he looks like the best WR at this point. If I was really the Ravens I'd actually look for a short term fix at WR with someone like Holt and get some youth on the defense. Since I can't assume that's what they'll do though, I went with WR. Plus as I said Barwin was the guy I had targeted if I went defense. Sorry. :D
  18. I like Robiskie a lot more than most seem to.
  19. Well, it's been more than 24 hours for Warp and still no word from him, so I guess I'll make another pick. The Dolphins need more defensive playmakers and haven't worked on that side of the ball yet. They're also getting a bit old at one LB spot and are without strong depth behind starters Joey Porter and Matt Roth. So, with the next pick in the draft, the Dolphins select OLB/DE Connor Barwin from Cincinnatti. Barwin is a bit raw, but will provide solid depth and the potential for a good playmaker at either OLB or DE. He'll also be able to develop behind Porter and, perhaps, replace him in a year or two. Barwin is also a Parcells-type player - hard worker with a great motor. WrigleyField 22 and the Ravens are now on the clock. I'll PM him.
  20. Thanks PCP. I hate making two picks in a row, but no sign of Warp yet.
  21. With Vanilla Ice not showing up for 24 hours, I'll go ahead and make the Falcons' second round pick. Atlanta doesn't have very many needs on the offensive side of the ball - especially after adding (it appears) LJ Smith to the roster - but there are a couple of defensive holes they need to fill. Both DT and safety lack depth and strong starters, so the Falcons will look to one of those two spots with this pick. The best value on the board right now, however, is at safety, so with the 55th pick in the draft, the Falcons select William Moore, S, from Missouri. Warpticon and the Dolphins are now on the clock. I will PM him.
  22. Vanilla Ice has another hour before I'll have to make the pick. So I'm bumping this back to the first page.
  23. Hopefully his issues have been overblown. He's an awesome talent. Yes he is. But anytime a player already has an agent, I mean handler, that can't be good. But if Lane Kiffin can get Bryce to sign on to playing for Tennessee and not Bryce Brown, and if Tennessee can break the cord between Bryce and his handler, then Tennessee got the 2nd best RB in the clas of 2009 (jab, jab). But from my knowledge Bryce is a good kid, it is his handler that is sleazy. Keep Brian Butler out of the clubhouse and off the field (practice or game day) and Tennessee got themselves a helluva RB. I've heard Butler's had less influence over Brown as the recruiting process has gone on. Apparently, his parents have taken more control of the process of late.
  24. Hopefully his issues have been overblown. He's an awesome talent.
