  1. I would have, but I can also understand why they would have wanted to try to give Bridgewater as much extra development time as possible though. If the result is going to be Cassel keeping you from even being competitive in games, though, you have to do something else. My position is it doesn't have to be Bridgewater. It could be Ponder, but if Cassel is going to play this bad - with his history - you can't keep running him out there.
  2. That's a legit argument. Though Asiata ran pretty well and CP is a very good weapon too.
  3. Ok. One good game then yanked after one bad one. Seems like a pretty quick hook why not just start the season with him then. Because Cassel's only a placeholder and it's incredibly obvious to everybody. Nobody really believes Cassel is their answer at QB. The strategy should be play Cassel until he costs you a game (which he did today) and then either try Ponder and see if he can keep from costing you games or go to Bridgewater if he's ready. You can't keep running a QB out there who has a history of being terrible and was just terrible again. Last week was a fluke, this week was a continuation of the norm for Cassel.
  4. And an almost equally horrible throw by Hoyer. He still caught it, but man, that would've been awful if Hoyer had missed him.
  5. They've got to do something. Cassel is a joke.
  6. Definitely seems that Weis is a great recruiter, but not good at player development.
  7. Titans about to lose to a Dallas team that really isn't very good at all. I'm going to be unhappy if Jake Locker gets a contract extension. On the bright side, the coaching staff seems to have had a good game plan, the players just haven't executed it well.
  8. That is true. Going to be hard to recover from two injury-filled seasons.
  9. They're playing the Jags and their D was presumed to be pretty decent - hard to tell though. Cousins may fit Gruden's system better than RG3, I'm not ready to right Griffin off as terrible yet.
  10. Rolando McClain just pulled in an impressive INT for Dallas. In other news, Locker still isn't that good.
  11. He was carted off the field in an air cast, haven't heard what the injury was though. Looks bad. https://vine.co/v/OaDvEp3vXjE That looks very bad.
  12. Cowboys can't throw the ball for anything against Tennessee, but the Titans can't stop the run for anything either. Jake Locker looks terrible so far.
  13. He was carted off the field in an air cast, haven't heard what the injury was though.
  14. Greg Hardy also announced as inactive today.
  15. This was about as happy as I could be with a 24 point loss by Tennessee. Oklahoma clearly had superior talent and more experienced players, but the Vols still held their own and didn't get too embarrassed. Without a late pick six Worley threw at the goal line, Tennessee is down either 27-13 or 27-17 midway through the 4th. This team is definitely trending up and looks better than I expected at this point in the season. The youth/inexperience/lack of talent on the lines are still going to keep us from 7+ wins, though. I really think this team can get to 6 wins - a very low standard, but an accomplishment in the post-Fulmer era.
  16. From what I've seen, Tennessee and Kentucky are way, way better than Vandy. Commodores are miserably pathetic this year.
  17. Haven't watched the game, but either Kentucky all of a sudden has a great defense or it's more of the same for Florida's offense this year. 6-3 UF midway through the 3rd quarter.
  18. Butch Jones is way too conservative in these mismatch games. If you want to have a chance to hang with teams like Oregon and Oklahoma with a down program, you have to take chances and he just refuses to do that.
  19. Tennessee is getting pretty well dominated by Oklahoma so far, but has managed to keep it just at 20-7 late in the first half. Would've been just 13-7, but the refs blew a replay call that looked pretty clearly like an OU fumble.
  20. South Carolina has been playing like they don't have a secondary this season. Yeah, this game just reaffirms that their secondary (and defense as a whole) is pretty bad. That said, UGA looks like it clearly doesn't have much desire to win. Georgia's been doing everything possible to lose this game and it appears it's probably going to happen.
  21. Man, neither of these UGA/SC defenses look any good at all. The only time anybody gets stopped is because the offense screws up.
  22. Georgia has had a pick and a TD called back due to penalties. Gotta quit screwing up. And Todd Gurley is really, really good.
  23. Georgia/SC has been very enjoyable so far.
  24. Am I right in thinking the ball hit the returner and then somehow ricocheted back to a Maryland guy? It looks like either that or it landed in front of him and just took a crazy bounce. That's a wild play.
  25. Kinda looking like that. VT looks terrible.
