    Actually, Snider could end up being drafted in the Top 15 because of his bat and makeup, both of which are off the charts. He's one of the guys I want the Cubs to take in this draft. The way his patience, ability to make contact, and power project are simply astounding. Boohoo if he won't be a Gold Glover at 1B or LF. Just stick him there and let him rake!

    Reynolds to the Reds is official. Baltimore is now on the clock. Apparently they've been incredibly high on Billy Rowell, so he's my vote.

    Joba Chamberlain -Has the kind of body (6'3, 225 lbs) scouts like. -Throws four pitches (92-94 fastball, slider, curve, change) which could all be plus pitches down the line. -Has had to struggle with injuries in the past, but seems to be back to form. -Seems to have a good feel for pitching, knowing how to work hitters in the inside with little fear. -Should be reasonably signable and should go in the Top 10. Tony Watson -Much like Chamberlain, a large frame (6'4, 210 lbs) makes scouts quite happy, especially considering he still has some filling out to do and he throws left handed. -Works in the high 80s with his fastball, which has plenty of movement. Good change, inconsistent slider. -Has very little in the way of background issues or problems, consummate team player who is well-liked. -Biggest question for him is a torn labrum prior to his freshman year. He's come back from it, but that kind of injury merits scrutiny. -Likely to go in the first five rounds and should be signed without much trouble if he goes there.

    Really? BA doesn't have him in the Top 200 on their prospects list. Seidel is the only Wisconsin guy ranked in the Top 200. According to them, his fastball is in the high 80s and peaks at 90. He has a good breaking pitch otherwise, but his delivery brings about a large degree of effort and stress on his shoulder. He has a strong commitment to Arkansas, so he might be a tough sign.

    Hendry likes character guys...so I really doubt the Cubs will take him. If he can put those character issues to bed and stay healthy, there's nothing stopping him from being a terrific pitcher.

Brad Lincoln -Most likely going to be selected in the Top 5. -Works 91-93, touches high 90s and can do so in later innings. -Terrific curve with a developing change. -Bulldog mentality, aggressive against hitters. -On the smaller side (6', 200 lbs), but has a good enough body that endurance should not be a major factor. -Also has spent plenty of time as a hitter, could be moved to 3B or the OF if his arm fails him and has the power to make the move. Cory Rasmus -Hit 97 this past fall. -Strong frame (6'0 195 lbs) means he's already well-developed and should move quickly, but that his ceiling is limited. -Delivery has quite a bit of effort when he tries to dial it up. His arm and mechanics could be cleaned up a bit, too. -His fastball, slider, and change all project as plus pitches. -Good approach to the game, doesn't fold under pressure. -Could go anywhere from the 2nd to 5th round. whi is 6' 200 lbs on the smaller side but 6'1 195 is described as a strong frame?? I believe it's muscle and being shape. Lincoln and Rasmus both have bodies that should be able to hold up over a season, but both are on the shorter/smaller side of what scouts look for in pitchers.

    Considering the bullpen was shot thanks to the 14 inning extravaganza and thanks to Williamson's injury, this doesn't come as a major surprise. Granted, I thought Wuertz would get the call...but ah well.
