  1. For those of you wondering, the latest pick was L/R CF Matt Camp out of NC State.
  2. Well, the guy kinda sounds like Matt Kemp...
  3. Reminds me somewhat of Rich Hill a few years ago with those HBPs and WPs. That 59/53 K/BB is ugly, though.
  4. The dude's name is Kitt? Ouch. Still, wonder if he's a Cubs fan...
  5. But he doesn't wheigh anything!!!! That's because he's two dimensional.
  6. I wouldn't be that down on it. If he decides to commit to baseball over football, he could end up being the steal of the draft.
  7. Aaaaaaaaaaand there's the freakishly tall pitcher. 6'7 works, haha.
  8. I'm not the only one who's noticed the Cubs haven't taken a freakishly tall pitcher yet, am I? Renshaw looks decent. He hit 91 on the gun and his secondary stuff looked reasonable. His arm action is a bit violent, though.
  9. And he's already making $100,000 to $150,000 at Notre Dame. The Cubs will have to really fork over some cash. It's kinda like the Miami football players who have to take a pay cut when they enter the NFL. ;)
  10. #269 - CF Clifford Anderson, Cottonwood HS, UT
  11. He looked stiff in the legs. If he could get some good coaching, I'm curious as to whether that'll add a tick or two to his fastball.
  12. Wrong one. http://pittsburghpanthers.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/muldowney_billy00.html
  13. If that's him, the power is a bit of a concern. Otherwise, the K/BB is reasonable. Wonder if he's worth anything defensively?
  14. In all fairness, there is a level of trust that has to exist between football players out there. Offensive players trust the defensive guys not to lead with their helmet, make late hits, or do anything else that could potentially injure or cripple them. Defensive players have the same level of trust for the guys blocking them. And yes, many people have died playing football over the years. A hard enough blow to the head can do serious damage to a person, ya know?
  15. Let me guess, another defensively sound guy who can't hit his way out of a wet paper bag?
  16. There's a guy named Fister in the draft. I bet he's a hit among certain female crowds.
  17. Not yet. I'm getting Justin Bristow flashbacks. He probably has a strong commitment to college.
  18. Lord help us all if Grant Johnson and Samardzija make it to the majors with the Cubs. The ND fans would never shut up.
  19. I'm typically not a fan of four year guys, but we'll see what becomes of him.
  20. I called the Samardzija in the 5th round pick. :D
